    Multiple custom monsters causing crash

    I cerated a heavily edited monster, placed a few and got everything working fine. I then edited a copy of this creature, raised the stats and changed the name, and when I place it in with the others, every time combat starts my game locks up.

    Edit: Well, never mind, because now it seems even the original creatures, which were working fine, are causing the game to lock up.

    Is there a detailed guide to editing creatures anywhere (I'[ve done the tutorial one, and it just isn't in depth enough for a DB with so many fields)...something that explains each field, and what to do/not to do?

    Either that, or if anyone has had a similar problem with custom characters and found a fix.

    Just to make sure ... when you say "created" you mean you have imported the database record into your mod in Art Manager to create your own version of the original mosnter and then modified that new version to place in your quest, right? Just making sure and all

    Yes. Actually it looks like I might have it figured out...still testing though. I think that if you remove a sound file you need to set the percentage chance for that sound to play to 0, or else when it fires it locks up.

    Well, guess that wasn't it, since it's still doing it every 2nd or third time I test it.

    i use almost only edited monsters in my mod and its not crashing. maybe you changed something in the world? One day, i added only one entity and my world was crashin evrytime i was loading it in titan quest to try, it was an E3 entity. But check what you added lately, maybe it is corrupted.

    Unfortunately that isn't the case. I replaced all the custom monsters with default satyrs, and everything plays fine. Then I put the custom ones back in and went right back to crashing.

    Hmm then it must mean one of those creatures you moded has a litle problem, maybe a wrong reference somewhere, that would be my guess.
    Try to check the fields you modified?

    Check them against what? I guess this is part of the problem, I'm definitely no modding expert, so unless there's very specific documentation explaining each field and what can and can not be done with it, then there's no way I'll ever figure out what's wrong with it just from looking at it.
