Multiplaye issue :(

Dear all,

I have started playing TQ and its an awesome game. I have no issue playing solo but only after the patch 1.11 came live, multiplay seems to be screw for me. I can host a MP but when others joinedup will end up losing connection. Portal is broken it seems during multiplay. I cant join other multiplay (internet), cant connect to server is the result everytime.
So, i reinstall and revert back to 1.08, where i can still manage multiplay but I can't go into Internet. I tried to use hamachi instead, work out with a friend and still multiplay don't work.....I am running out of ideas My current character is fully loaded, I can't move things to my mule and I cant play MP with friends...

I think I know what caused my problem
I am not sure if this apply to the rest but i found something that causes me to fail to log into multiplay. FOr those who use pot stacking in solo game, you may be unknowingly overloaded your character with over tons of pots. Now, this cause our chr.file to become oversize. I tested out, pot stack with 300 each (health and energy), my chr.file is 138k. I throw them off and my chr.file became 28k which is normal. I tried to host and join my friends LAN multiplay using hamachi and it works pretty good. We didnt manage to connect or host before that. So this theory with hamachi solves multiplay for me at least.
I am going to try on the internet multiplay as well and will update to this thread on my findings. I hope this will help most people who had problems with multiplay

ok, more updates

1. 1.08 with LAN/hamachi MP
As per previous post, as long your character dont have over tons of pots, keeping it 'normal', it should work fine. Even portal is working good. However, after extensive testing with a friend, i realise some people cant be the host, like myself. However, I have no issue joining up my friend server. I believe this will have to do with your PC config as well as connection. Just pick the best person to host

2. 1.11 with internet MP
Still got lots of crashes, doesnt seems to be stable for me .. I cant last more than 5 mins inside other people's game. They may be using pot stack but when i tried on server with more than 2 people, i still got problem to play inside. Thus, I believe there is nothing much i can feedback on this, some can but some cant use the internet MP.

3. 1.11 with LAN/Hamachi
I suppose it should work but i will stick with 1.08 for now until further patch. Done too many install and unstall, getting lazy

In conclusion, I hope my findings especially on pot stack/ chr.file can help some of you people out there. Playing using Hamachi for multiplay is definitely the best way for now until further patch to stablize MP.
Mods are good for solo but i see issue when using it for multiplay. My advice is, if you wish to multiplay, just remember to remove those mod you are using, its the safest way to minmize problem.
