Trying to come up with a Conqueror build (HC)

I'm trying to come up with a good Conqueror build.

This is my 7th+ Conqueror and I would like to get a better direction on where I want to allocate my skills.

Brief history - at first I played dual wield conquerors; but then went to shield (for better survivability); my latest conqueror is a dual wield one but I have a feeling that if I dont die I'll be realocating to the shield again ...

This was the typical build I was going for:

    a few things ...

    1. I'd wondered about maxing out adrenaline for the health regen; wondering if it would be worth 9 additional points from somewhere.

    2. I wondered about maxing out rally for the increased armor; I plan to use rally alot; hence why I put 6 points in inspiration to get the increased duration.

    3. Defiance looks nice for the elemental resistance and reflection; problem comes into play when it's off and you have alot less resistance. And it costs 12 points to max.

    4. I would say most people agree that battle awareness is only worth 1 point ... am I wrong on this?

    5. Disruption - does this stop spell casters from casting? or boss types from using skills?

    6. Batter and rend - both look real nice ie batter for the %slow to attack speed on 3 targets and rend for the - armor reduction ... does rend stack with hamstring?
I would need 18 more points to bring these 2 up (that's alot).

    7. Battle rage line ... anyone else find any reason to add more then 1 point battle rage/crushing blow or retaliation?

So what do you think about my skill set up? and in regards to my questions above ... if I take one of those skills how would I de-allocate then?

    thanks

Can only answer one of your questions (pretty new to playing a Defender), but ones better than nothing, right...

Yes, it does. For example, I used it against the Greek Telkine to stop him summoning his minions. Every time he started that casting animation I used Shield Charge and as long as I hit him before the animation finished, no summons for him

Argh, accidently closed tab after writing up a long post. This one will be a bit shorter.

    1. I say no, Xaece says yes. Just try it yourself, keep it if you like it.

    2. No. Bonus armor is not very useful.

    3. Might be useful, or might be useless. Depends on how much you get hit. You might want to max it for certain boss battles with lots of elemental damage. Permanently maxing it would be a bad idea I think.

    4. Most people say so. I do too.

    5. Yes, if they aren't immune to it.

    6. Rend - no. Batter - maybe. Maxing Batter early, then getting the slow effect from a Relic later is quite viable IMO.

    7. I don't even find 1 point in the upgrades useful. Even Battle Rage itself wasn't very useful for me, lasts too short. Not as much of an issue for Adrenaline because you don't need to be fighting to regain health, but to get the benefits of Battle Rage you need to be fighting, and generally it will trigger when your current fight is already half over. Useful in areas really packed with monsters, and putting 1 point into the base skill cant hurt. But the upgrades don't even deserve a single point IMO.

Another skill you might want to remove is Hamstring. It's not very useful against melee enemies. Reducing armor is less useful than it seems, and reducing movespeed on enemies that aren't moving is also not very good. If you have +skills gear leave 1 point in it, if you don't remove it completely.

Skills that could use more points: Battle Standard, Triumph, maybe Defiance, War Wind (single point, especially when dual wielding), Adrenaline if you like it.

What do you guys think of counter attack?
Triumph I like alot and seems to work great.
Defiance I'm not too sure of.
I'm thinking of maxing pulverize once I get it too

    This is where I am

And this is what I'm thinking as my "main" build

Re: Trying to come up with a Conqueror build (HC)

i have a lvl 48 Conq in act 2 of legendary and am doing really well.I have good equitment and really good resists.Which is key in Legend.I got tartarus set, pendant of immortal, shield of Korabtys, adriot loop rings and Orions mace.I tried other combo's but the tar set gives good reisits.Conq's sets ok to.

I think your main build is pretty good, but your current might need some work, war horn works very well. I would say concussive blow.( I found good hammers and maces the whole game so thats the way I went that way)

Max dodge and weapon training and onslaught. Those were my 3 1st maxed skills. War wind was ok when fighting mobs but in the end I don't feel it was very good.Battle rage is to unpredictable to do that much good, unreliable damage is not something I like to rely on in battle.

Then load up on passive defense skills, adrenline/Collossus cool down time is pretty good, battle standard works well with that. Also Battle Standard gives the enemys another target to hit, helps with bosses when trying to dogde the one hit nukes.I like pulverize alot. Just a few tips.

48 lvl Conqueror here still on epic Act 3 , farming bosses occasionaly ,having a cakewalk so far thats my build : http://www.titancalc.com/TitanCalc.a...-0-0-0-0-0-6-0

Using that 200 dmg normal shield though , it gets massive with batter, shield charge and shield procs and a +3 to defence and +1 to all getting ,that +4 to defence seems too important to me, also things that slow atacks of opponents when u aoe hit em plus it stacks with batter slow effect makes a real strong combo , doubt would be so easy without it
