Very nice guide, it has helped me a lot.

So do you use batter and shield charge? Which one do you have as your right click?

Also, why do you have storm nimbus maxed but not heart of frost? Maxing storm nimbus just gives a higher chance to do very little damage. I think you only need 1 point there, and should of course max heart of frost. Maybe there is something I'm missing?

How does your Paladin do in Legendary? What are his weak points?

I use Batter as right click and Shield Charge on the button 3. (As I have potions on 1 and 2.)

I was concentrating only on Lightning damage in the early game so I guess that's why my skills are how they are. However if you look at the final build HoF is maxed.

He does pretty well damage but he also takes huge damage, I always need to adjust my resistances according to where I'm going which is a bit annoying as you need a pretty big set of gear. The Paladin isn't much different from any melee class and do have a hard time on Legendary, even with very good gear.

I'm very glad to hear that my guide has been helpful for you.

Well, I actually think Thunderball (Storm Mastery) is a great skill, especially with its upgrade and when amplified by Concussive Blow. Huge stun time, decent AoE. Pretty long recharge time, though, a build focusing on it would probably need a -recharge item or two. I'm not very far with my Paladin yet, but planning to use a build like this for Legendary, maybe with a point in Storm Nimbus and maxed Heart of Frost added in and less points in Batter and Disruption to make up for it.

I realize no Storm Nimbus and Wisp would greatly hurt my damage, but Thunderball with its huge stun should make surviving a lot easier, and the huge attack slow from Batter should also help. No Storm Surge because I would need the next mastery level just for it, maybe something to add later. I guess I will write how it worked out after each difficulty.

Sounds like it could work to me, however with my setup I cannot do this, I would completely need to nerf my DPS for it. Great idea though.

Yeah, I'm playing a pally right now. I'm level 31-- just getting started in epic. I've only died twice so far-- and once from me pretty much falling asleep while fighting typhon at the end of my session last night. So basically I'm saying he is seemingly pretty powerful, as I'm smoking everything. I definitely died more with my champion then my paladin.

I like Galefury's idea about using thunderball. It's a nice way to diversify the way you play a bit. Having another ability that you can actually do damage with from afar is something I was thinking about when I first started the char. I put a couple points in lightning bolt after I maxed storm mastery and it's pretty cool to have a dmg spell to go along with all the other fun aspects of melee you already have with a paladin. Of course, it's consideraby weak, but it definitely does do some damage.

Might try the thunderball tree and see how it works out. I'l report back.

The damage from Thunderball is pretty low, and will stay low, especially on a melee focused char. Low int, few other sources of elemental damage, pretty low base damage. It's just missing too much to be a proper damage spell. I did kill things with it, but I'm actually using it just for the stun. I really need the upgrade, though, as the aoe is just too small for it to be really useful. Of course it helps, but not as much as I'd like to. I'm still very low level, though, and I'm pretty sure it will get better with the upgrade.

Might be useful in early and mid game. The damage would not suffice with my build though so it might be somewhat useful for the stunning effect.

Nice guide I have several questions:
    1) Is your primary attack is Storm Nimbus (left button)?
    2) What gear do you use and looking for?
    Thanks in Advance

    1. No, left click should be your standard attack. Use storm nimbus as one of your hotkeys.

    2. Good gear. =D

    Question [Paladin]- Complete Guide

Hey all, pretty new to the game and just started a pally and really enjoying it. I was wondering if the only way to icrease attack speed was through equipment and item buffs or are there any other ways?
