    [ORACLE] Nimbus Tree

I've gotten mixed answers to this...do the % elem bonuses that Heart of Frost and Static Charge (+ cold and lightning) provide go towards a % increase in the dmg from your staff, or only a % increase in the dmg contributed from nimbus? that is, if my char. deals 100 dps on its own and an extra 3 cold damage w/ a Lvl 1 storm nimbus, will my heart of frost (+50% cold damage) add an extra 50 damage to my character ,or only an extra 1.5 (3x0.5)?
    Thanks all

like nimbus, it adds the damage to whatever attack you are using, be it a ternion, melee, or spell.

seems to me that adding more than 1 pt to nimbus is a waste?

the answer to your question is pretty simple, and i think most of us would think it is, when it stands "50%+" it's Your original damage X 0.5 (50% = 0.5 when mulitply) so when it stands 50%, it's not really THAT much.. well it's better than nothing, and it increases your DPS a bit ^^ if u have alot of 50% then your dps will surley move up ^^

    Your original damage X 0.5 (50% = 0.5 when mulitply)
If its 50%+ should it not be Origional Damage x 1.5 as x 0.5 would half the amount of damage he is doing?

You could do Origional Damage x 0.5 + Origional Damage though and its ver easy to get them mixed up as i know.

As long as the attack (spell or staff) is the same elemental group as the bonus then it will multiply the damage ie. a 100 dmg hit from a frost staff will hit for 150 with heart of frost on. Add a +10 frost damage onto it (from a -fix) and you get an extra 15 dmg.

Yep. One of the most useful skills for an Oracle are Heart of Frost or Static Charge, depending on the element of your staff.

So the 3 Cold Damage and 1-21 Lightning damage affect both your staff and any spell you cast (ie, Ice Shard?)

Quick question, a tad off topic: I am sure most of you have played Diablo 2, seeing as how Titan Quest is very similar to it (which is one of the reason I love it). However, one small thing is kind of bugging me. Remember in D2, in your Character sheet, near the top, there were two slots that displayed the damage of whatever skill or spell you had on your left and right mouse click, whether it be a Normal melee attack or a spell.

This seems to be lacking in Titan Quest. All the character sheet shows is your Average damage and DPS of your current staff/club/sword, etc that you have equipped. It's not a big deal, but it makes it much more difficult to see the effect Intelligence and skills have on increasing your damage of the spell.

Take my question for example. I was never sure if Storm Nimbus affected only my staff damage and/or my Spell damage.

Is it possible to view your total damage of a spell (Ie, Storm Shards), as in the base spell level damage and any weapon or skill increase?

The flat bonus (+x cold or lightning damage) doesn't affect spells I think. Just the percentage bonus.
