Was Diablo 3 not up to your standards? Anyway, Titan Quest is an amazing game and I don't think you'll be disappointed if you like hack n slash RPGs. Plenty of variety and some end-game options for characters, especially if you're the type of person that wants to farm up that one specific item. I've put about 230 hours into the game and still going pretty strong.
Good luck and I hope you keep enjoying the game
Oh and always please ask us if you ever need any help and/or advice. The community here is amazing.
Yeah you know what. I was really looking forward to Diablo 3. However all that game boils down to is a gear check. Anyhow I don't want to bash it here though
I can see that with TQ there will be countless options and combinations to try out! For me planning your character is half the fun of an ARPG.
Then take a look at TQ's spiritual successor, Grim Dawn. It's looking great and it's still pre-alpha. Website is www.grimdawn.com, you might have seen something about it on some of the D3 forums as I know the word has been passed along there.
Greetings georgelappings, from a fellow D3 refugee! I think my first post here started with the words "After the crushing disapointment that was Diablo 3..."Anyway I too recently sought this game out as a substitute and Titan Quest is indeed all that I had hoped for and more! As a bonus the community here is just great; you couldn't hope for a nicer or more helpful crowd, not only for advice but also the amazing gift that is the Bugfix Fanpatch! Welcome and enjoy!
It seems that D3 has been quite a disappointment to many. There even was a YouTube video comparing TQ and D3 (which TQ won hands down). I too was disappointed with D3. It managed to hold my interest for perhaps couple of hours but never managed to really hook me, so pretty soon it was back to TQ. I still occasionally fire D3 up to play for a while (after all, I paid full price for it so I got to get some use for my money), but a huge majority of my play time is TQ. Currently playing a bow brigand farming for a nice bramblewood bow in Soronis (got much easier when I found a Veteran's Batrachos Breastplate pretty soon, used a Curative Prowler's Cuirass before that)
Oh, one thing I liked in D3 was how one could destroy much of the environment. Made the game more dynamic, IMO.
Never make fun of dragons. You will just make an ash of yourself.
