Thread: Average Level on Completion

    Post Average Level on Completion

    Hey there everyone,

    I'm new here on these forums, and I've been playing Titan Quest for about 3 days (I'm a Diablo 3 refugee hahah).

    I have a couple questions for any TQ IM veteran here, and I'd appreciate if anyone could help me.

    1) What are the average lvl at the beginning of each difficulty?

    I'm using the calculator to plan my Ranger. I've designed her for lvl 51, is that a reasonable lvl to be starting Legendary?

    Can someone post an answer like:

    "Normal: lvl 1
    Epic: lvl x
    Legendary: lvl y "

    2) Nature's "Regrowth" adapt its healing capacities at each difficulty?
    Or is that +-2000 healing really the cap for the game? I'm around lvl 15 and have 1500 HP.... if this is really capped at 2k , it will probably be worthless at end game.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi there, and welcome to the boards.

    1) For me it's -

    Beginning:
    Normal = 1
    Epic = around 38-40
    Legendary = around 53

    2) Nope. It's useful for some builds, in particular ones which can easily stack +skills. I have several characters who are perfectly fine without it though.

    I kinda rush thru when playing non-Xmax... getting to Epic by 35, but about the same as Tyr for entering Legendary. I play untwinked so spend extra time looking for great gear for the tough parts of Act 4 Epic.

    And, IMO, Regrowth shines when you're getting all your pets buffed back up to full health with one cast. Potions are more efficient for healing yourself, but a timely Regrowth on youself can keep you alive until you can potion again.

    Thanks for the quick reply!

    Those helped a lot.

    And about regrowth.

    To be complete honest, I was planning on leaving only 1 point at each skill of the Regrowth tree, hoping to make it useful with +skills (like Tyr mentioned).

    I though something like:

    "Each level 16 wolf on normal have around 900 hp (considering heart of oak bonus). Regrowth and dissemination lvl 1 have +-200 healing each.

    So that would mean a +-20% HP healing for every pet, on each cast. If this ratio continues on Legendary, it will work alright."

    I remember reading somewhere that the wolfs' HP changes for each difficulty. (That's true, right?)

    Now, knowing that Regrowth healing doesn't change, this ratio of 20% probably drops really deep on legendary, demanding me to invest massive points on regrowth/dissemination to make them worth of using. Is that right?

    That's probably the reason that drove you, Tyr, to not use it at all, am I right?

    Or you, essjayehm, how many points did you invest on regrowth tree to make it so efficient?

    Thanks in advance

    Edit: I messed up on my numbers. Fixed it.

    Regrowth takes too many points to be useful in a normal build, but if you're playing with friends you can play dedicated healer if you want and the heal is pretty good. 2k HP is not a small heal if you can heal 2k HP every 2 seconds.

    But its better to max other skills before it if you're playing Ranger.

    Yep, your pets get a bonus on life and damage (and possibly other stats as well) for each difficulty. That's why petmasters aren't that easy to play on Normal, but rather potent on Epic and Legendary

    All of my characters use it in normal, though most spec out of it once I reach Epic. I think only a few of my Ritualists, my Wanderer and my Illusionists kept it. My Summoners, Soothsayers, Druids and even some of my other Ritualists builds certainly didn't need it.

    As a wanderer (pure Nature), it was probably near-maxxed by mid-act 3. Just aiming at a pure petmancer, with all offensive pet gear, and some -recharge for pretty much spamming Regrowth. I built it up slowly over latter Act 2 and 3, as the monsters' damage start increasing around that point.

    Yeah, I understand that now. Regrowth isn't for offensive builds.

    Thanks

    Hopefully one day I'll make a full on pet master.
