What is an interesting secondary mastery for Hunting (with bows)?

    'ello community.

I've been trying to figure out what secondary class I should pick for my atm. Hunter.

I'd like to focus on bows, so Im not really sure what to pick, since Warfare/Hunting is more dual-wield focused, and afaik, Hunting/Rogue is more spear focused.

I simply want to find a good combo that hasnt a lot to do with offensive spells as it has to do with untraditional damage (that is, not just physical/piercing). Now Ive been thinking of whether I should actually pick a Hunting/Rogue for the Poison or Bleed damage, because i honestly have no idea what other good synergy there is.

So, please, could anyone tell me a good secondary mastery for Hunting that is interesting and somewhat unique in playstyle. Fyi, i have no idea what im trying to achieve here. I just want to play as a Hunter that actually focuses on bows =__=

Any of them work and are probably best played as follows:

Brigand - pure bow or with spear as secondary. Not necessary, though, works fine as pure bow.
Haruspex - very strong, pure physical/piercing damage.
Ranger - also very strong, great physical damage from the Wolves.
Bone Charmer - works better as bow/spear hybrid. Primo boss killer.
Sage - can be played either Int/Dex with elemental damage bow or Str/Dex for pure physical/piercing.
Avenger - quite tricky but probably best as pure Str/Dex physical/piercing, with Core Dweller to tank.
Warden - wants shield & spear but can also be very handy with bow in alt slot.
Slayer - killer build. Probably best as hybrid bow/spear. Onslaught works with both.

The ones I've played with (and I played pure bow)

Brigand (Rogue) - Didn't get far, but the draw is the poison effect. You mention poison/bleed damage, but the damage doesn't affect quite a lot of enemies, and from what people say, the damage itself isn't that good. The poison effects are really nice though

Haruspex (Dream) - Great survivability. Both trees have chance to dodge projectile. Both trees have bonuses to DA. I don't have good gear and my survivability is quite good so far (early legendary). Though I'm really feeling like this class would benefit from either hybridizing or going full-on melee

Ranger (Nature) - Heart of the Oak is my fav skill in the game. It's cool for the summons, and wolves can cast a nice buff. I have a bit of recharge, and Refresh up to a level where I can keep Call of the Hunt up permanently. Very nice skill. Ranger has a lot of nice buffs and debuffs. It's very points-heavy if you wanna get every useful skill, which could be OK as you won't be tempted to hybridize

As Irma2 says, all of them are good. I always play any Hunting toon as a bow primary weapon user, even a Slayer or Warden, as there are plenty of other builds where you can use those as the primary mastery. Still, one that might suit you best is Irma2's Bown (play on Bone here) Charmer guide. A Bone Charmer has Spirit as the support mastery with Hunting very much the main focus of the build. It gives you a really good idea of how to use Hunting's skills to the best advantage. You'll find it on the second page of the Hunting mastery section here (and why isn't it a sticky yet I want to know). So have a look at the guide and see if it's something you'd like to try, but if you do then download the bugfix fanpatch (Fanpatch Projects section) so you can use Ravages of Time properly. It's a broken skill without the fanpatch and not worth putting points into otherwise.
