Looks very cool, JMD..., just like your website (where did you get that background from by the way?)

@Elfe & Violos: Would it be possible to patch the database somehow, so you can use custom menu backgrounds, but at the same time provide some way to reverse the patching. I mean, the fanpatch does it too IIRC.

You mean like the fanpatch batch file? I think it would be possible, but you'd have to put the datapaths manually to get it working. Or mean you patching it so that you can change the background by a mod?

Well, I dunno how it works exactly, but when you install the fanpatch, I always thought that the installer patches the database and reverts those changes when you uninstall it. I figured something similar might be possible here as well...

No the installer just replaces the database by a modified one. BTW the file we are talking about is an arc (resource file). Sure you can put an installer and uninstaller, but for replacing one arc that really shouldn't be necessary. Using a batch file is nearly the same. Does the same, just works with cmd command line.

Yeah - making those changes for your own game is no problem.

As long as you only replace resource files and not the database, it does not even change the game version. So you can still play online with your custom textures/sounds/whatnot.

Thanks. I made my home page using a couple of drawings I did over 20 years ago.
