Hm interesting style mix. Underlord UI with old game background and different font. Nice! But where did you get this Immortal (Skull) Throne headline style?

@Violos hmm yes I prefer the loadable things more, too. But there is not always a way to use it in a mod. Maybe it hangs with something in the exe file, idk. I'll also have a look at that. Hum, if I'm one time not at home... Oh BTW I also changed my menu music. When I start my TQIT so it receives me with the mages rock music from the secret passage Changing the menu text does work with a mod.

    Hm 2 days left here...

    Greetings

The menu changes are the first things I can think of that really require it, besides changing Act 4 quests for the normal campaign. But certainly it also has its advantages.

Changing the menu music even works with a loaded mod, too (via the dbr rather than replacing the mp3), but then leads to crashes if you load it a second time.

    And the texts, yes...

But like I said, that change persists even if you go into the game and back to the menu, at which point the mod is not properly loaded any more.
And leading players to forget that fact by having a mod-specific menu still showing is dangerous, because it likely makes them destroy their characters.

So in fact, all things that "bug" applies to should not be changed by a loadable mod, imo, even if they could.
I just kind of hoped that the background, if it had worked, would have behaved differently.

Eh, you ALWAYS should restart your game after playing with a mod if you want to play without again, because the mods are half loaded, no matter what they change. They still can effect the game after loading and going back to menu. I never tried to change the music from the menu by mod, because I think it's useless. But as I said, give me some time untill I'm back home, I got some idea how the menu changing by mod could work, but I need to test that on my own. (It's a bit more complicated...).

@tt300 Great, thank you! I saw this before too but I didn't know that it effects the menu also. Maybe I should spend some time on mixing some of them for my game .

    /sorry for doubleposting\

Ok I tried several solving ways for the menu change by mod problem, but it seems like you'd have to change the exe file to make the game read the mod changes. I didn't spend time now on figuring a patch for that out, and I think it's useless, so won't continue on this idea.

I'm not sure if this helps or not but, I changed my menu back to the default TQ one (with some minor edits) by simply placing my files in the Database directory. I use the same method for my UI's as well my other mods. Just a thought.

Well, that method was what I described in the startpost how to install it. What we are about is making a mod that changes the menu background. Your changes on your pic looks pretty good, did you just edit the main scene texture on the position for the flagg or did you edit the flagg single texture file?

Ah, gotchya. My apologies then...I misunderstood ya.

As far as the flag goes, I just re-textured it.
