help needed for the old lady!

Hello,
I downloaded underlord last week and have been having great fun. I have now arrived at the bridge where a few people have reported a bug and am unable to cross it. I have the latest version of underlord (1.52), which installed automatically without a hitch, but after reading the posts here it seems I need to install it again but manually this time. I have downloaded the manual patch but am now stuck. It is a RAR file and windows 7 can't open it. I did download some software to allow me to do this (7zip) but to be honest my 60 year old brain couldn't figure it out, either how to unzip it or where to put it if I do get it unzipped. From reading the other posts it goes into the installation files but am not sure what or where they are.
I realize this topic has already been covered and apologize in advance but if anyone could go through it step by step I would be so grateful. I'm dying to see what's on the other side of that bridge!!

Download Winrar from rarlabs. I believe the link is in the downloads thread topic. Once you install that, you should be able to right-click the file and choose "extract here."

Though, you've probably already solved it by now.

Many, many thanks for your help. I hadn't managed to do it and so uninstalled the whole game and then reinstalled it again (probably a bit drastic, I know!). Am now playing through it again to see if the same bug occurs, if it does then I will know what to do.
Have just started epic but didn't try the new part on my normal run through, I'm waiting till I'm a tough old granny before I tackle it!
