  1. #1

    Post your character

The title explains everything: This is a thread where you get to show others the product and beauty that is your character.

Of cause you have the right to brag about what you have accomplished

My main character is a lvl 93 sage (Storm / Hunting)

    2011-12-06_00004.jpg

Please post whatever main character you have, as im curious how much people have played / collected by now

Also feel free to comment on whether you feel there is a need for more end-game content (über dungeons etc.)

I think there is moar need for content... No comments from Amgoz about that, though.

My hero, for a picture I will post this evening, is a lvl 84 Templar (Overseer in UL/SV speak).

I'm still missing Warlord Coat (LG) and Bracers of the Minotaur (LG) to finish Hephaestus' Gloves and Immortal Rage of Ares mythic items... I have finished the melee amulet, though.

I talk with Amgoz everyday being we're IRL friends, so we discuss everything about the mod, including things such as ideas for über dungeons. He was actually the person behind the idea for this thread. I've switched galefury for the melee helm lately, and working on Ares' endless assault chest (Warlord's coat is a bitch to farm) . GL, hope others will post in this thread as well

I found it! I found it!

Also, I found the bracers of the minotaur in the same hour... good grief: And they lit up the recipe. So now I have Ares' and Hephaestus' pieces. Lots of life now.

    Hi!
So this is where I can brag about my char... I see
    Let's see: Lvl 92 Overseer (Dream+defense)

    screenshot46.jpg
    That's it.
-I am planning on to get darkflame mythic axe (I already have the headhunter axe, but the other two components are missing).
-I also need Cystalline mask( already have two components out of three, but the Bandari helm does NOT work for some reason) as a secondary option Galefury mask is also good.
-Mercurial gem armbands (No luck finding shaman's coil with two affixes otherwise I have everything for it).
-Demonbone greaves (still 2 components needed)
-Agathodaemon shield (I already have this, im just not wearing because i doesnt give much resistances. As soon as I have some other mythic with resist like Cytalline mask I am gonna switch to this shield)
-Jewelry is not decided yet. Although I am gonna wear at least one Band of the elder savage ring. Thats for sure (only 1 component missing for it)

It is basically a -100% recharge build (for Phantom strike and Colossus) with maxed resistances (every resistances- primary, secondary, and tertiary - like sleep, petrify, slow), very high DA, and almost 100% shield block and shield recovery time even withOUT Adrenaline kicking in.
Only drawback is CtAP since it can only be obtained from gear for this char, and with the final build it is around 50%, which is still good. And dodge, of course, but you can get around this problem by high DA.

My char, an assassin with which i beat the soulvizier mod first, obviously untwinked and with very minimal deaths, in fact 3. i continued playing since i was in the last stages of the game so i wanted to finish the game. what's more, i had quite a lot of fun throwing knives and annihilating enemies with dual wield.

i did not get the chance to get some mythics, but was quite satisfied with the results.

the strongest aspects in the build were the dual wield given by the 2 masteries and the fumble and confusion by the envenom weapons, combined with throwing knives and onslaught. the good thing with the knives is that onslaught effects are carried on, so enemies find it really difficult to even escape even machae archers. bosses are easy, almost no need to evade attacks since i had a lot of physical resistance and a lot of resistances, even seconday and freeze, etc.

no uber char but i will now try my best in succeeding a hardcore one.

Re the content: there is a need for an endgame dungeon, but personally, once i beat the game with a char, i usually never play with him again to try different builds and combinations, so for me it does not make that much of a difference.

Alright, I was looking for the thread on posting about endgame content.

How about a boss set that is summoned only after you equip an artifact? There is an old artifact from UL called Pandora's Box, it summons stuff on equip. I think the cooldown is a small time. The only thing is, and I'm not sure of this, is do the enemies stick around if the artifact is taken off? I haven't put on Pandora's box in a while, so I can't remember.

    Here's my idea:

You could take that artifact and make 4 of them: Each have different bosses. To make each artifact, you would need to make the primary one first out of a single recipe. All others would be using one of the artifacts and another ingredient; I don't know what they would be, but something difficult, with a token component for the third and a recipe that would be purchased for nominal amount.

Each of the four enemies that could only be spawned when the artifacts are worn and as an enemy, would have a chance to drop a good piece of equipment, no soul and 100% chance to drop a mercenary contract that summons them to help.

For the bosses, make them hit fairly hard (as in no 1hko to a character equipped to the toes), have bonkers resists and VERY good crowd control.

    Just from the hip.

    Cheers,

    Imp

I thought of doing something similar, but not being able to control where, when and how many times the summon gets used is problematic.
For example: The player could just summon the boss in a town and have the invulnerable guards tank it for him, completely nullifying an otherwise difficult fight.

A better implementation would be having rare token items that either drop or have to be forged and bringing them near designated altars would consume the item, causing monsters and/or bosses to spawn in the vicinity.

It could provide a fun dynamic to collect/forge one or more of these tokens and then bring them to a specific built arena or existing map area that provides a fun and challenging fighting space.
Imagine bringing several tokens into the Parnassus ruins and suddenly having elite monsters and bosses roaming all the place.
With tokens of varying difficulty and types it would also allow the player to customize the challenge level relative to the power of his character. Having the number of spawn monsters scale with player count could also provide incentive for same crazy coop farming.

Or make a quest that puts like 10 different alchemists at different places, and using one "quest" token you could spawn different enemies by using that token (which would need who knows what type of trial to make) and a special recipe ingredient bought at that alchemist and something common. Each big beastie is tied to a specific alchemist.

OR you could make the token the Overlord or Underlord. That makes it relatively tough to get it (well, not to people who use TQ Vault as a money printing vault :P). That way the player could find a bunch of different gates like the one outside of rhodes all around the world; then use the underlord token to open those gates.
