Beat typhon!!!!

Just began Act IV with my Oracle, literally Stormed my way through Olympus (cos i'm an Oracle, geddit? :P). Took Typhon down in no time, about 12 secs. In fact the only boss that has killed me so far has been that stupid bull Yoguai or whatever, SoB killed me twice with his dang fire AoE attack

my Oracle has had a ton of deaths, cos he was my first character and I didn't start tuning in to the forums until early Epic, so was running off my own ideas. Has a current death count of 175 but he's getting better, died only 8 times in the whole of Legendary!

It's weird to think that i'm staring at the best staves in the game at the shop in Rhodes... I might do some shop runs to try get a new Harrowing staff, my current is a bit outdated, in fact a whole difficulty outdated! got it here in Epic hehe.

sorry not really a question or anything just happy I'm nearly finished well, not exactly, want to take this guy right to level 75! must download the fan patch and an xmax mod, that will help sooo much for exp. later on.

Congrats on whacking the big guy ! In my experience, the best shop farming is Elysium... but it's hard to wait that long when there is something you really need like a harrowing staff .

Well done kalimon! Hoorah! I know how you feel. I've just taken my Legendary Conqueror past Typhon (with 2 deaths from him and another from the bull group by the gate), but it was a much harder fight than yours sounds to be as it took me some time to wear him down. In fact, I got him as he got me for the second time - we both died together.

aww man like the second time i looked at the mage shop i got an: Incubaen Staff of Harrowing, with base Cold Damage so I can finallllyyyyy take advantage of the Storm Mastery. DPS is off the chain, when my Wisp uses Eye of the Storm I go over 1500!

I also saw another Rare staff, it was only one affix though: Archmage's Stygian Staff. It did like +20% Elemental Damage as well as +20% Attack Speed, would it be possible to get an Archmage's ... of Harrowing? that would be literal insanity! (lotssss of shop runs though :/ )

man just thought of that... Archmage's Incubaen Staff of Harrowing. +20% Elemental Damage, -14% Reduction to Enemy's Health (that's what my staff has), +20% Attack Speed w/ Incarnation of Anubis' Wrath 12% Attack Dmg Converted to Health w/ +35% Completion Bonus. With Heart of Frost and the +% Elemental Damage I get from my Celestial Band and my Prismatic Talisman...

I wish you luck on finding that archmage's staff of harrowing Kalimon . Archmage is quite a rare prefix unfortunately .

Congrats on smacking the Big Guy. My Oracle is back in Chang'an getting ready to go to the Jade Palace. When she first arrived there she was only a little over lvl 31. My other toons that have thumped Typhon were at least lvl 33. They were a Conquerer, Harbinger, Spellbreaker, Bown Charmer, and just recently a Spellbinder.

Knowing how fragile casters are, I decided to portal back to the Valley of Kings for levelling. After a few runs over a couple of days she reached lvl 33 AND, she also found two Revenant Plate armors. One a Scholar's, the other, a...of Protection.
Not bad for a couple days work. Both went to needy Heroes. So, I'm ready and just a little anxious to she how fares in the rest of the act.

@Ancient_of_War: good luck man, its more of an effort on Normal, just run around and let the Liche and Outsider melt him.

but you will not believe how hard it was. destroyed the night mistress (the empusa hero), but at the end of that staircase the game mechanics had a nasty surprise. Dactyl. got killed 4 times cos he trapped me on the staircase, ended up having to use the lich as aggro while me and the outsider nailed him. killed hades in one go though
