Thread: Summon Skills and + skill items

Summon Skills and + skill items

I've noticed in my game that any plus skill items do not affect any entity summoned (basically anything with health, including stuff like lures and traps, etc). Adding points to the skill through leveling works fine but I see no difference when using plus skill items, with the odd exception of raising summon limits at the normal intervals (such as for skeletons and wolves). Other things I've noticed include that mastery shrines still seem to affect these summons as normal, and the synergies of summons still seem to be affected by plus skill items normally (for instance the "maul" ability for wolves will do more damage with +1 to all nature, but the health of the wolves doesnt rise).

Anyway I've tried to find any posts or comments relating to this to see if this was intended by the underlord mod or if its a bug. Since I've seen nothing of the sort I have no idea if what I'm seeing is normal. If someone can confirm that it is a bug, a link to a fix would be greatly appreciated.

Yu gotta re-summon the pet to take effect. They will stay at the level you summoned, even if a skill shrine buff ran out.

I had a look with my ritualist and you are right, the health in the tool tip does not update when you equip/un-equip + skill items. It seems to only recalculate when you add a skill point.
If you want to see the correct value for your wolves level, re-buy a skill point from the mystic. Now equip all your + skill items and then re-add that skill point to the summon skill.

I know that the tool tips are not very reliable, so the game is probably creating the wolves with the correct health values. But I can not think of a good way to test that.
There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough.

    It does. Tested it myself.

Good to know, thanks Violos. Previously I played a shaman and I poured most of my points into the base skill for each summon because it didn't seem like the many +skill points I had affected them based on the tooltip. Good to know I can safely spread those points around since the plus skills are having an effect
