Cherish those Gauntlets of the Necrolord, you won't find many. In thousands of SP and Hades runs, I've found a grand total of one pair.
Yeah, I was quite surprised by the number of items that dropped. I don't think I've ever had that many purples appear in one session, usually I think I'm VERY lucky if I get 2. I'm a bit shell shocked to get so much loot in one run.
I seem to recall seeing 2 or 3 Gauntlets from my previous play on my old PC, Irma2, so yes, pretty rare. But then I've never had THE Greaves so swings and roundabouts. There seems to be a big variety in what drops for who in this game.
What surprised me most though was how good Onager was for late game. I thought I'd try it out when it fell for me as it had a nice +22 per sec regen for both health and energy, but it was also really good for tackling the flying squids in the Tower of Judgement and beyond. Onegar's stun capabilitiy coupled with Defense's Concussive Blow maxed meant I was able to hit most of them, stun them and not get hit by their poison damage when they died because it didn't proc due to squids being stunned at time of death. Of course, it stunned everything else I hit it with, but those squids can be a bit maddening with their poison clouds/bombs everywhere. Didn't have to do so much dodging using Onager. Nice! Okay, I might have to wack away for a bit longer to get them down but do I mind? Not a bit.

A couple of SP runs today only yielded Sleepwalker's Stride and nothing else...must have had bad luck

Today while farming 2xepic act3 telkine for the recipie "Tome of Transfiguration" to create "Symbol of the Polymath" he dropped a sacred charm (+2 to all skills). I guess that's rare right? Or is it rare if it has a suffix only?
Anyways I will use it on future toons since I can't loose all the resistances from Blessing of Gods (Hope for aphrodite's favour ofc soon...I reached Legendary Rhodes tonight, so SP here I come!)
Sacred amulets aren't that rare, vendors offer them from time to time. I use them fairly often with casters as they can struggle to get +4 to all skills. For a melee toon or archer who uses SBC, I'd only use a Sacred if it had a decent suffix as well.
Nice job, gouldec! I've searched for Archmage's Clasp forever and haven't found it yet.
@ Medea -- I must have missed out on something--what are these infamous greaves to which you keep referring?
@ spectre -- My farming runs tonight were fairly barren of new items, too. I got a bunch of MIs and some repeat Uniques (Aionios once again dropped from a frog), but the only new acquisition tonight was Inexorable Grip of Tartarus.

Another good day for me
Yesterday after having some trouble in SP (Toxeus....) and dying couple of times I started using -%damage from undead items and started farming SP (around 5mins runs).
So after 25-30 runs I got Aphrodite's favour (yey) and conqueror's bracers with +46% damage +42% attack speed and +2 weapon training. I think I'll use those instead of the SBCs (dont have alacrity yet, but even if I would) cause the bonuses are huge...(what's your opinion btw?).
Also got some more legendary items, mostly bows, legionare boots and 2 more pieces of conqueror armor (using the head till I find something better).
And another cool thing is that my symbol of Polymath got +elemental resistances as completition bonus while my other artifact which is blood of ares has +25% attack speed. Game loves me so far!!!!
