This has been suggested before... will look into it.

The barrier so far was that it's not so simple to make a pet (which this skill uses as an intermediate, in order to avoid aggro on the player) create an effect on its master only. But it can be done.



As for the skill:
That is actually an aura which "ticks" once a second, just like Deathchill or ToW from the original game.
It does this for as long as the pet lives, which should be mentioned in the tooltip since 1.31.

I just made the applied effect last a little longer than this 1 second period to make sure that monsters with resistances (which may shorten durations) will still experience a continuous effect.

can the Assassin use Katars?

She can - if you can find some.
But her abilities also work with normal swords.

what's the difference between Katars and Swords?

To the game, they are swords. But they are dexterity-based. And look cool.

You will find them eventually as you progress through the game. There is also a legendary set pair.
