I think that Violos made posts about Wisp being monstrously strong with elemental pet gear, add Lich and Outsider and you should have a strong build. Not to mention Ternion with Lightning/Cold staff... Oracle has some pretty good combos.

Yeah, the wisp is incredible in normal with pet gear. I'd almost go as far to say as because of how pets scale in epic and legendary, that the wisp might just be the best pet (would be competing with liche since its pretty invincible too, but its harder [well more annoying to use this way] to pull with in a tanking fashion) in normal. I'm not quite sure if I'll be using ternion at this point, haven't decided, same with any of the non pet supporting skills.

As you can see HERE it'll be a bit before I even get points into squall or lb. But if I find myself needing to debuff with some mkt then I'll definitely pump ternion a bit (before I get to the point of that build). As far as staves go, the one I'll be aiming to use (and sacrificing some pet stats ) at this point is Heka Staff for the recharge.

Get items with + to Spirit & Storm skills and just put it on when you summon them. If you manage to get +5 to Spirit and Storm (doable), you will save 5 skill points, from your current setup. If you get +6, you have 10 points back. Just keep them in inventory and use them when you start your session (or when your pets die, although this should be rare).

Come to think of it, this is actually pretty wicked - with minimal points invested you get strong pets, not to mention chance of Mastery Shrine (although I rarely encounter these with petmancers - same way I only seem to get Battle Markers with them >.>) while being able to focus on other more direct skills as well. This is how I used 3 point Lich with my Bone Charmer through entire Normal - I stopped using him at very end of act IV, which is pretty darn good for just 3 points if you ask me. If I encountered mastery shrine, I summoned him even there mind you. He got his power back in Epic, where I can get those juicy +skill items.

I was merely pointing out that there are quite a few back-up plans with your Oracle, who can become caster or Ternionator in just few clicks at Mystic.

Yeah, I'm already up to +5 spirit +7 storm for summoning, will go up to +7/9 (haven't found a +2 spirit staff unfortunately) at 31 with the addition of a sacred neck + loratian greaves too I'm also working on making a second effigy of skyfire for this guy, so that'll make it +7/10.

So why invest so much in pets at lvl 52?

I forgot to take that into account lol. I guess with all that considered I'll have a chance to get back into the action sooner than I thought which is good, so I don't get too bored just standing around

With all this updated, somewhere throughout epic THIS is what the build should look like.

No love for Static Charge? It does buff the damage of the Wisp, doesn't it?

I'm not quite sure how Storm Nimbus works (I've never used it) but is it a radial buff like Earth Enchantment? If it is I definitely overlooked it.

Well, the video uploading is going slower than I had anticipated. I've just finished act 3 last night and videos from act 2 are still uploading lol. Heres the screens right after killing Typhon:

    typhon1.jpgtyphon2.jpg

As far as difficulties go, I ran into a rather tough pack of Firetalons + caster Hero + 1 Wyrm-Magi which almost killed both pets which was by far the toughest pack of mobs in act 3. Yaoguai was easier than I thought, the outsider definitely lived up to the hype and helped bring him down in under 10 seconds. Ormenos was a pushover as well, and didn't even require dc or outsider. The climb up Olympus was easier than I thought too, although I did have to keep dc when off cooldown for the liche to regain enough mana to keep himself alive. Typhon was the first time the liche has died since he got wraith shell, but that was not entirely in my control, as apparently my graphics card can barely handle his meteors + recording @ 1080p at the same time without slowing to a crawl at ~5 fps XD Unfortunately poor Mr. Liche paid the price, when the meteors came crashing down right on his head. It was interesting though, I'd have thought he'd live through it since Barmanu's ice meteor hit him full force and barely brought him below 50%. Anyways, the Typhon fight took a little bit longer than I thought, probably about 35-40 seconds. The wisp, the champ that he is, never got close to dying and has still only died the one time so far.

Unfortunately the only new video to add is just a random clip I took of the wisp doin more of its thing in act 2:
