Mini Troopers

I just found this.





Seems to work like many 2-minute-a-day duel games. But this one is kind of cute, and at the same time seems to have some depth to it.

You recruit your troops, give them abilities, gear and tactical instructions (like who to attack first) and them let them fight it out with other little armies. Like my 1-man elite squad, Killers-4-Peace ! He's a fearsome level 2.

Looking at it, maybe it would have been best to start with a combination of "Motorbike" (lets you start in your weapon's range) combined with a melee weapon. Because other weapons have minimum ranges and most people seem to pick a sniper for their first soldier.


P.S.:
Though other opinions say that you should try to get a named weapon or rare ability (gas grenade, hydroshock) on that first roll, since it is harder to obtain later.

I just got a little black-haired guy coming in with a salute, and some cash. Apparently because you "joined my army".

Btw, I found a reason why I like this game. - You can make character builds.
Look at this one for example. That is a pretty cool sniper I found:



His skills are:

SMART - Probably made this possible in the first place, because it allows better choices.
ASSAULT RIFLE - One of the more useful starting/backup weapons.
SABOTEUR (CLASS) - Disables enemy weapons. Neat.

then

AUTO SNIPER - Low damage, but fires 6 rounds a clip instead of reloading after each.
TRIGGER HAPPY - Adds one more bullet to a "burst"... in this case makes him snipe twice!
COMPENSATOR - Makes sure the second shot is as accurate as the first.
ON POINT - Lets him take out big threats fire before anyone else moves.
COLD BLOODED - Makes him aim that heavy rifle twice as fast.


I've seen this guy shoot 4 bullets at 2 different people before the fight even started.
The only thing he lacks a bit is damage. Or rather criticals, since he gets so many chances at those. So HYDROSHOCK SHELLS would make his bursts super-deadly.
Alternatively, FRENETIC (get further action points upon killing someone) could enable him to snipe the entire enemy team like a pool player on a streak. Or of course the always-effective TWINOID, which gives a lot of action points for a short rampage at the cost of poisoning the user.

If possible I decided to only recruit smart guys now. Too bad they show up so rarely, and then probably have a pistol.

I just found out that one can make two new armies/rcruits EVERY DAY, just not for the own team.

So... how about a Recruit Exchange Program?
As in: You post your army's recruit page, the next person creates a recruit for you and is then allowed to post his own link.

Welcome to the team, #52. Lukotor can pick up his gun and join the next raid right away.
In the future, I think he would make a good sniper.

That. Apart from luck, this is all about combining the right skills. Smart really helps there, and prevents Sabotage which can really mess up your strategy.



Some great combos:

Spy/Biker/Rusher with Heavy MG + Frenetic + Loader (Killing spree!)
- Alternatively with (battle-ready) Semi-Auto Shotgun.
- Pump-Action works too and needs no Loader, but runs out of ammo.

Magellan + Trigger Happy (see Post #3)
- with Sniper skills like Hydroshock/HE ammo, Cold Blood, On Point/Twinoid
- does not work on Bazooka M25

Bazookas + Lasersight/Heatseeker + Unshakable/Dodger/Invincible (certain doom)
- best with On Point (hit them while still grouped) and Cold Blood

Bazooka M25 + Frenetic + Loader (Boom! Boom! Boom!)
- Cold Blood, Laser sights etc. help as always.

Tuck'n'Roll + Camouflage + Wife Beater (Dodging FTW!)
- Add Zigzag on Shock Troops / Take Cover on 1-shot weapons

Skills that give initiative are best with long range weapons, or distance closers, because all bonus time can be used for attacks rather than, in worst case, just running across the screen into enemy range.

Loader is a huge time-saver for all things with a magazine, like Assault rifles, which are the best basic weapon IMO. Nothing sucks more than a trooper rushing in to fire only 1 shot, and then sit down to reload.
Alternatively, the Heavy MG's abilty to always come fully loaded is great too. That would be another perk (Battle Ready) otherwise.
