    [REL] TQVault 2.3.1.x

    Believe it or not, I am still making refinements to TQVault. After a long hiatus, I got the bug to finish the improvements that I started some time ago. The biggest difference you will see with this version is that the UI has changed a little. It should render better, with less flickering along with the ability to resize the main panel. Internally there are a lot of changes as I did a lot of code cleanup. One thing that should help with mods is that all strings are normalized to upper case internally. A also include ArzExplroer as part of the install since I removed the database extraction button from TQVault.
    The dependency on VC++ has been removed so you should not need the runtime any longer. This is built with .NET 3.5 so that is still a pre-requisite and since I am using VS2010 you may need .NET 4.0 to run the installer.

    Changes in 2.3.1.0:
    - Refactor Code:
    -- Ported to VS2010.
    -- Simplify code and remove redundancy. Also make things more 'C# like'.
    -- Use LINQ for internal data queries.
    -- Switch to Generic Collections.
    -- Much better FxCop and StyleCop compliance.
    -- Split project moving the data handling and decoding into a separate TQVaultData dll.
    -- Moved resource loading into individual classes instead of in the database class.
    --- This was left over from when the resources were stashed in zlib.
    -- Moved expression-eval to its own project.
    -- Changed to use .NET compression and removed dependency on zlib.
    -- Merged ArzExplorer into solution and changed to use TQVaultData.
    -- Removed Database extraction button from main form.
    - Added support for DDS transparency (Da_FileServer).
    -- Removed dependency on QuickFill.NET and Visual C++ runtime.
    - Switched from FreeImage to DevIL/Tao.DevIl since there is an issue with Freeimage converting DDS files to bitmaps that are not DWORD aligned.
    -- Fixed TEX to DDS header calculation so it is more compliant to the DDS spec.
    - Added main window resizing.
    -- Can use the maximize button.
    -- Can grab the edges of the window to manually resize.
    -- Can use CTRL+ and CTRL- to incrementally resize.
    -- Can use CTRL+Home to reset scaling to 1.0.
    -- Saves scaling value in config file and will scale on load if not set to 1.0.
    - Increased Stash panel size to 10x15 to accomodate increased stash size.
    - Resized Stash tabs to accomodate 2 lines of text more comfortably.
    - Increased number of characters allowed in Vault Maintenance text box to 256.
    - Fixed flickering (flicker fix from Da_FileServer).
    - Fixed crashing with VS2008 (Da_FileServer).
    - Fixed issue where set name tag would show up in the create set items context menu.
    - Fix issue where completed relics and charms would not be saved if TQVault's completion function was the only action performed on the vault before closing.
    - Fixed error/crash with update check if network is not available.
    - Change Update program to show progress bar instead of message queue.

    Changes in 2.3.1.1:
    - Fix silly bugs found below by FOE.
    - Fix exception when dragging an item out of the parent sack
    - Fix only 1 additional player bag shows.

    Changes in 2.3.1.2:
    - Fixed skewing of equipment background when no player is loaded.
    - Added more error handling and logging in the file parsing routines.
    - Added message with option to turn off loading all files if it did not complete on the last run.

    Changes in 2.3.1.3:
    - Fixed issue with double entries in the loot table for certain items (Lupine Claw, Turtle Shell, etc.).
    - Fixed relic bonus not being carried into removed relics.
    - Fixed issue where completed relics and charms without a bonus did not show 'Change Completion Bonus' context menu item.

    Changes in 2.3.1.4:
    - Enable new UI provided by AvunaOs.
    -- Defaults to Off in this release. Can be switched on in the settings.
    -- Added new key for enabling and disabling the new UI.
    -- Change ScalingButton so that it can have a graphic in addition to the standard Windows styles.
    -- Absract New UI into VaultForm. Adds custom border, system menu, custom title bar, etc.
    -- Update existing forms to use the new UI.
    - Change startup logic so that MainForm does all of the loading.
    -- Move the progress bar into Splash Screen (Form1).
    -- Splash screen now fades out and Main Form fades in when new UI is enabled. Can be disabled by manually changing the fade settings.
    -- Combine loading of all character files and resources.
    - Change the results dialog.
    -- Now shows a tooltip for the highlighed item.
    -- Does not close when an item is selected so that multiple items can now be reviewed.
    -- The item text now matches the item quality.
    - Fixed border of the text panel. Bottom was cut off.
    - Fixed Move To -> Player panel.
    -- Was using the size for secondary bags to find the space on automove so it would fail if the free space was outside of the size of the player secondary bags.
    - Increased font size for bag labels.

    The language zip file is now included with the installer zip.

    Very nice!

    (But no new feature - for TQV self?! » New Ideas ...)


    Little starting troubles:

    I've installed over the old version - this was not good!
    I've become problems, the main file would not be installed!?
    After de-installation and new installation, it works fine!

    Question First Bug found ...

    Hello!

    There is a bug when moving items by drag'n'drop - it came the error message ...



    ... when you move a item out of the "home" area!?

    But, when you using the function "move item to ..." (Right-menu), there is no error message!

    Hello!

    Unfortunately, I have to report again ...



    For all Char's only 1 Bag is available (if the have more!), no 2. and 3. Bag!?

    Uploaded 2.3.1.1 to fix the bugs that you found. I should know better to make changes at the last minute.

    So it sounds like you want me to implement the following along with my comments:
    Keep the search window open after a search to allow clicking on additional items in the list. I will look into this though the current design might prohibit it.
    Show the player stats. I would only be able to show base stats here so I am not sure how helpful it would be.
    Separate the modification choice to a own window and put a own button on the main windows for it. Not sure which one you are talking about here.

    So ... here are my results ...

    Now it works fine, the further bugs are fixed.

    But I've a another little problem by the first starting and/or "LoadAllFiles" is "True" ...






    (^^ Only a little piece from the log ...)

    When I set "LoadAllFiles" to "False", I've no problem!?

    I actually do no see that one. It's probably complaining about one of your files and it's getting a null reference.
    Try to turn on debugging and send me the log

    My situation is that when loaded to 85~90% of the stop did not respond, why?

    Because of this program does not support Underlord 1.52?

    No! It does work with UL without problems!

    It's the same bug I have, you must only edit "TQVault.exe.config" and chance "LoadAllFiles" to "False"!

    With UL there is only a little bug with the mystic's ...
