    Metamorphosis question/suggestion

    Hi Draeziel!!!!!
    I'm playing by some time this f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c mod (masteries are FAR superior to the original ones!!!! ) in 1.3 release merged with Achilles mod, and i definitely LOVE Metamorphosis!!!! As a defence lover, for years i've dreamed of a protecive skill strong as "Colossus form" but with smaller recharge time than it, and finally.... tah dahhh!!!! "Inner sanctum"!!!! More powerful than Colossus, NO recharge time and no more "i-am-too-big-to-pass-through-this-door" But it is an aura, so enemies with "Spell breaker" skill (Storm mastery) can deactivate it, so my question and suggestion is.... why don't you transform this in a passive skill (just like "Mirror shape")? By this way, no one can deactivate it. The reverse of the coin, would be that the 90% mana reduction will be permanent, so very few "magic" skills can be casted by the Golem and a lot of attribute points must be invested in Mana if someone wants to do it.

    I'd like to underline that i'm not asking for this feature because i have a poor defended toon: my warrior have (has? my english is a disaster, sorry ) over 90% beasts/beastmen/undead/demons/magicals damage reduction so it is already well shielded from most attacks, but in my opinion a true "defence specialist" should not be robbed of its hard earned guarding abilities by some stupid mobs

    Let me know what do you think of my suggestion and... keep up the good work!!!! This is the most awesome masteries mod ever made, really!!!!

    Hi Wispo,

    glad to hear you like my mod
    Its a pretty hard change you suggest, since making "Inner Sanctum" a passive skill will prevent any spell-based character from picking it, as long as its toggable, you can use it occaisonally, even as a mage. Metamorphosis is after all a more interesting mastery for melee characters, but this doesnt mean casters arent meant to use it. So the easier solution for your problem would be to make the skill undipelable (yes, thats possible), so noone can remove it from you, altough it has no cooldown nor an activation cost, so dispelling shouldnt be a problem.
    If you want, i can create a modified version of achilles_destinymod with an undispelable "Inner Sanctum" and send it to you, but releasing a new Version of the mod for only one single Change which isn't taking care of a game breaking issue seems inordinately.

    Don't misunderstand me, i would never ask you to release a newer version of your excellent mod only for Inner sanctum It was only a suggestion for a change that, merged with other changes suggested by other players, could have improved your already good mod in an ipotetical, future 1.5 release However, i sincerely appreciate your proposal (i didn't know at all that there was the possibility to make a single skill undispellable... O.O) and, only if you have time and it won't cause you any troubles, i will be glad to receive a Destinies Achilles with undispellable Inner sanctum (i will sing your bravery to my grandsons... LOL ^_^)

    Now i have a Tormentor (Metamorphosis + Ruination), and i can definitely confirm that a golem can become a mage!!! I have 1.3 version of your mod, i don't know if in 1.4 this won't be possible, but i've achieved -100% skill recharge time and over -70% mana consumption, and now i go around the game with a monster defended by 74% damage absorption and that spams Black hole, causing the extinction of whole races of enemies... call the WWF!!!

    I sent you such a version, along with instructions on how to install it. If anybody else wishes such a version or another change, just say so and i will see what i can do. If enough changes come along, i'd release a new version but i currently dont have enough time to really work on balancing on my own and search for improvements myself.

    Of course a golem-mage is still managable in 1.04 since i dont want to destroy any mastery-combinations in order to balance. I already thought about caps for cd-reduction and manacost-reduction but i had no idea to aquire this goal besides nerfing any item with -%cd or -%manacost into oblivion, and thats nothing i'm supposed to do

    Oh my God, thanks!!!! You are so kind and gentle, and you have done it for free, and even if we don't know each other personally... like a real FRIEND!!! Thanks!!!!! I will try to follow your precise instructions in your e-mail, hoping nothing goes wrong (in that case, i will ask for your help, here on the forum ^_^).

    Oh, almost forgot: please don't go straight into the same error committed by other modders: let the variety of the game remain untouched!!!! CAPping cooldown, manacost, avoid projectiles and such things steals many possibilities to a player If "i" wanna create a full dodging toon, or a spamming mage, etc. .... why can't i do it? IMHO, this is not making a game difficult/complex/balanced, this is putting chains and restrains to the fantasy of the players

    Now i go and try your gift, hope all goes well.... thanks again, you are not normal, nor epic... you are L-E-G-E-N-D-A-R-Y
