Titans and Gods Mod [WIP]

Hi Guys

I'm working on a new Masteries-Mod for TQ, called Titans and Gods Mod based on the greek mythology. I'll make 4 Masteries of gods, 4 of titans and 1 of chaos.

I make the Mod together with a few helpers. I'm making the masteries and effects. The others are making icons, text and difficulty.

Short overview:

Gods:
-Athena (Close combat) weapons: all close combat weapons
-Zeus (Lightning attacks) weapons: staffs
-Hades (Life attacks, summon undeads and cerberus) weapons: staffs
-Demeter (Poison attacks and healing) weapons: throwing knives, bows

Titans:
-Cronus (summon titans, slow time) weapons: staffs
-Oceanus (water attacks (new name for frost burn damage)) weapons: spears
-Atlas (defensive) weapons: clubs
-Prometheus (fire) weapons: staffs

Chaos: (good to summon the other masteries) weapons: any type


Features:
- Life-Staffs
- High-end-sets
- new weapon class: throwing knives
- new UI

one question: Why Athena's weapons is axe? From many pictures, Athena seems using the spear

This looks awesome! Whenever I play TQ, I always try to make Godlike characters or those based off Greek mythology. So this is my kind of mod!

I think, that spears are better for oceanos, because the lord of the sea has in every picture a trident (--> Spear)

It's right, Athena also uses spears in pictures, but in my opinion, she should use every close combat weapon. I made 2 skilltrees for athena, one for dual wield and one for shields.

I'll change that in the first post.

most gods aree seen with swords or spears, ebcause those were the most common weapons in ancient greece.

The way I see it:
Athena - Spear and Shield (always depicted with a Shield and Spear/Sword, never an Axe)
Zeus - Staff of Lightning
Hades - Staff of Fire (Hellfire/Tartarus)
Demeter - Either Axe (as a Scythe cutting the "grain"), or a Staff to summon nature with
Kronos - Staff
Oceanus - Staff (of Lighning/Cold for Water)
Poseidon - Staff of Lightning or Spear (Trident) and Shield
Apollo - Bow of Fire
Artemis - Bow with any other bonus
Gaea - Staff of Fire (Earth) or an Axe (Scythe)

Athena:
Athena is the god of warfare. In my opinion warfare and dualwield should come together, and axes are also good for dualwield.

And I've never seen an axe in a mythologic picture of a god, but I don't want to replace all axes. You can also say, that the old Greeks had no magic staffs.

Zeus:
I agree! Lightning staffs are perfect for Zeus

Hades:
I would use staffs with life damage. If I take Fire, it's very similar to Tartarus from the Paths-Mod.

Demeter:
I planed to use bows and throwing knives. It's not 100% correct, but ranged weapons can be good combined with poison attacs.

Kronos:
Ah ok kronos, I wasn't sure, that Cronus is right in English. In german, we also say Kronos. Btt: I agree

Poseidon and Oceanos:
They're very similar and I chose Oceanos, to have 4 Gods and 4 Titans

Apollo, Artemis and Gaia:
I'll think about replacing a god or a titan, but prometheus and chaos I would use.

Prometheus (a Titan), stole Fire from the Olympians and gave it as a gift to Humanity. He is associated with fire and the Torch, and should therefore use Clubs/Fire Maces.

Athena (a God) is the Goddess of Wisdom and Knowledge, not War. She may be god of tactical warfare and strategy, but she is mainly wisdom.

Life Staffs? Is this going to be a custom weapon, only I'm talking about the base element damage saying it should be fire. Of course life leeching attacks are also Hades.

Demeter should use summoning and protection/healing spells, along with elemental and regenerative spells and items. She is after all, Goddess of Farming, Fertility, and the Harvest. If anyone deserves an Axe though, it's her, though more of a scythe perhaps?
