How do you know if a weapon is for sure a dagger or sword? I was guessing if the speed was very fast it was a dagger and just fast was a sword. Lately though I'm finding what look obviuosly. Like swords and are very fast

Someone may correct me on this but im fairly certain swords have a 10% piercing ratio while daggers go more than 10% (15% and up). Need confirmation though. Im guessing you want to know this because of the occultists blade mastery? If so the game doesnt make a difference - a sword is a sword and theyre not really divided into daggers and swords... theyre just swords

As far as the game engine is concerned, they are both just sword-class weapons. As far as the game fiction is concerned, you regularly find short-bladed weapons called daggers in the game. Because this is often a distinct weapon class in similar games, I made sure to note that the Blade Mastery skill worked with Swords or Daggers so that players would not sell off the daggers they found, thinking they wouldn't work with Blade Mastery.
