titan quest formula drop rate tightly linked to your inventory content (?)

hello im a new titan quest player with 60lvl harbinger.
in the last 3 days i tried getting an artifact named JADE IDOL in order to assemble the symbole of the polymath later on.
for my searches i have used this very informative thread

so i killed the first and second epic telkines about a 100 times. got only about 3 formulas total.
noticed i have 15 formulas at the character inventory. sold them.
got back to the telkine - drop a formula at the first try.
7 kills later - 2 more formulas, one of them is jade idol.
i dont believe this is coincidence i do really think there is a direct connection.
    did anyone experienced same result?

I have noticed some games seem to have much better drops then other games. The only indicator I can find that seems to make a difference is to check the shop and if it has a good amount of green items in its inventory then the drop rate seems to be better in that game as well. So you can just start game after game after game checking your closest shop each time until you get one with lots of greens in its inventory then go out and see if you get good drops.

It's best not to worry about the drops. A lot of the time, you won't get what you want. Your casters will find Sapros, your archers will find Fingerbone of Boreas, your melee toons will find Bow of Herakles. That's just how it is. Don't worry about it. Just play the game. If you don't find the purples you want, make do with greens. They are almost as good, often better, and there is no toon that can't make it through the game by using greens.

When you play the game with greens, you will become a better and more resourceful player. You will learn to survive by choosing your greens and socketing them wisely and by getting the absolute max out of your equipment. So, when you find the top purples, it will be a welcome luxury rather than a dire necessity.

Last time I killed Typhon in Epic I had 4 purples drop and two of them were the Doxa Kalo sword, and I already had one stashed away in my vault. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten the same drop in the same game and 9 times out of 10 it is something not suited to the class I am currently playing.

Look at your defense toon when it has 20% chance to proc a shield move (standing and swinging without enemy). Sometimes it comes all in a row and sometimes spaced. That is what random means.

Another example. On average you need to kill 250 boss gorgons to get stone binder cuffs. Say you have killed 250 and not got them. That doesn't mean you are more likely to get them on next runs. Its still on average (from that point) 250 more to get them.
    Underlord Mod characters (untwinked) [class level: Difficulty (N,E,L)]: Marauder 65 (L), Bonecharmer 21 (N), Conqueror 32 (N)
