The secret cave / blood cave and montser level

I was able to beat the first (mini) boss in the blood cave, which is right before the temple with a lvl 31 twinked Dreadweaver (storm/spirit) by spam freezing after I died 5 times to the mobs surrounding the priest. The blood cave isn't exactly beatable on normal, you are going to need some great gear that you can only get in later difficulties.

I beat it in normal with a level 50 revenent with some pretty crazy life leech.

btw what's the recommended level for trying out the blood cave on normal?

I played it on normal with not great gear when I first stumbled upon it (~level 37). I only had 3 health pots and on this version of underlord there was no way to portal out and back (I dunno if thats changed or not). It took a couple of hours of kiting but it was the most fun I had in the game in a long time.

Challenge is good. Death is meaningless. Take it on.

lol, yes, that's changed. You can now portal into and out of the bloodcave.

Yeh I did the same thing with my battlemage with the first version that allowed you to go to Hades. (you know, the first hotfix you released lawl) Shit's not easy... Granted, I never got to Leith or w/e her name was with that setup, but it was fun.

biggest coolest surprise ive had so far in UL.
actually just stumbled across it, finding the little entrance to it while going through normal.
with alot of patience i managed to beat the entire thing but, i must admit, i died...and i play 'hardcore' mode with my characters...that is, if i die (unless its due to technical fault) i delete the char.
however given the 'custom' content and the awesomeness of it, i make an exception for myself this one time, the first time i go through blood cave. so now i have 2 deaths on my character. level 28 elementalist is what i played it through with (think i was level 30 by the time i finished it). and yes, i died on the river spikes. twice. then i noticed that my core dweller destroys the spikes quite well if i go next to them and let him wander around. clearing a path for me.
sacrificed a few of him to open a path across, but well worth it

again, great level design, great content in there, actually felt like a new game when i stepped in there. had to really start paying attention and micro'ing. i think i spent an hour or maybe even more finishing it. went back to town many times for more pots haha

Finished it today/tonight as a lvl 31 stalker. I did not kill trash in the last room, i just charged to leinth. I saw the amount of reavers in that area and loudly said "screw this" and ran for it. Hard to say how long it took, i started at around 11 am and its 1 am now when i finished, but there were a few multi-hour breaks in there (infant in the house) etc. probably 4 hours of actual play time.

Pretty awesome content munder. First time in the last 2-3 years that I've actually yelled "Oh fuck you!" to my monitor. Thanks for the fun sir!

Edit: I tabbed out, then back in, and the game crashed right after I finished and left the cave. Really glad that didn't happen 5 minutes earlier.

You shoulda played it before there were rebirth fountains in there. ^^
