    Well I cannot promise you that I will never update it again @Cygi! But everything I had planned 2 years ago and thought of since is now officially done, thoroughly tested, and playable. So I once it is out I will probably not touch it for quite a while.

    (I could play it with you guys, for a change, just for fun. That would be something! )



    What are the differences between this mod and Soulvizier? I really like the increased difficulty in that mod and the additional enemies, items and etc.. I figure this mod has all of that.

    I am not entirely familiar with the contents of UL, or SV for that matter, but concerning D2I you can find an (old) list at the beginning of this thread.

    In a nutshell, UL improves the standard masteries, and adds those common (by now) things like harder difficulty, more spawns, etc., while the additions from SV are mostly about the items.

    D2I was not so much about the collector's compulsion until late, but about combat. It revamps the entire system of damages, resistances etc in order to create a more balanced environment, where you have a lot of viable tactics rather than the usual few flaw-exploiting builds, and fills it with stronger, smarter and more characteristic enemies which you will have to adapt to.

    Skills are designed accordingly. They are based on the D2 skills, but with some liberties to make them all useful throughout the game.


    But of course there are items too. - Especially in those last 2 weeks, I have made little else.

    Because the difficulty curve does go up pretty brutally after normal, the enemies already equip more good stuff by default. Then there are some new items (and item types), original Diablo 2 items, bonus items, quest-reward items... and now also the sets, and revamped old sets.

    While few single items will be the ultimate choice in every situation (except truly epic "world quest" rewards like the Hellfire Torch), the highest tier sets are pretty darn powerful.

    In any case, you will be busy for a while finding them.

    Sounds great! Will definitely get it on next update.

    If I have Soulvizier already installed I will have to reinstall Titan quest?

    There is a thread about this.

    Basically you can load it over UL/SV, and it will overwrite 95% of it anyway. But there have been reports of smaller glitches (like some spider boss lacking animations), and there might possibly be less obvious ones. So your call.

    Is there no batch file or program that uninstalls those mods again if you want your original game back?

    Adding a few tiny bits and pieces while waiting for any more bugs that might go into the 1.61 fix... so far there has been only one that really requires action (strength reqs on class gear), but I'll give it a little more time to be safe.

    As you may have seen, there have already been downloads for a nicer Valky aura and staff attack animation.

    And just today I made two more things I thought of. One being another strength-based staff to bridge the gap between epic and legandary scythes, and the other gives one of the items that took me longest to make to the player: The Valkyrie's helmet.





    As you can see, this allows you to call a Valk even if you are not a pure Amazon. Hilarity ensues.

    Judging by the gear Valkyrie has, it grants a lvl 20+ skill?

    Btw, what you think about Valkyrie/Decoy resists and survivability in general? In Grim lvl 20 Valkyrie died from one Diablo's red lightning, in Hell both Valk and Decoy seem to be made from paper. If she gets javelins on summoning, she survives for some time, but spawning with a spear leads to quick death.

    One can say - Amazon isn't a pet class, so they shouldn't be strong, but what's going to justify spending points in such skills? Due to amount of good skills and lots of passives, Amazon is a very skillpoint demanding class (compared to Paladin, for example), so either the skill is good or it's just ignored.

    Naw, it is around 10. Would be unfair to those who actually spend points in the skill otherwise.
    The gear comes from the difficulty.


    As for survivability, I tested her again in A3 Hell at level 20 and found it adequate - even without Horus relics, which would have added more life and 50%+ chance to dodge if I used them.

    Keep in mind that she spawns from only a single skill, so she ought to be weaker than, say, a mastery-boosted golem. And yet she is one of the strongest pets in the game, save for said golems and the Shadow, due to her skil being top level and exclusive.

    I added a little boost to DA in Grim and Hell, to make her a bit sturdier in melee, and 10% phys resistance when wielding a spear. But that should do.

    I found the mod great fun especially once load up with soul vizer although i have one complaint why isn't the Barbarian "taunt" skill working like the original skill since it would make it a lot more useful.

    Good point. Seems I was so busy making the taunt itself work that I forgot about that part.
    Will add some fumbling, especially for ranged (making them go melee is impossible) to make that skill more useful in single player too.

    That is possible, and she even has those skills. But I set them to 0 and gave her other stats instead when I introduced dodging as the way Horus relics make all pets survive longer (beacause it "increases their life" equally, independent of individual HP and %HP boosts).

    With dodging being one of the exploitable stats, stacking Horus with Dodge/Avoid would otherwise have made her near invincible.

    The "from one skill" comment referred to the idea that the advantage you get from putting points into her skill should be in proportion with the advantage you get from raising one other skill.



    P.S.
    Regarding the sets:

    Amazon and Assassin sets require dexterity, since they are the true hybrid classes that can be played with dex/str just as well as dex/int.
    Sorceress and Necromancer require intelligence, while Barbarian and Paladin gear both requires strength.

    The int req on Necro gear is moderate, since Necromancers are notoriously unfocused in their stat distribution but with the Paladin plate being among the strongest armors in the game, you do need your strength.

    Not the best news for highly intelligent Palas, but then again there is plenty of other gear as well.

    p.s i tried search for find potion but could find this answer - How does the find potion/weapon skill and what happens when u lvl up the skill since i don't see any difference ?
