    That is true.
    And, most of all, I figured that this could be the skill for the intelligent, cooldown-reducing caster Pala.

    Gentlemen - The Fist of the Heavens




    After trying all sorts of skill types with more or less success, this is now an instant AoE which either spreads bolts or snipes a single target for extra damage.
    The latter was more of a side-effect, but I kind of liked it, and adjusted the damage types accordingly.

    Sending out yet another version right now for you to try it out.



    Latest changes
    - Remade FoH as a separate skill
    - Rearranged Martial Arts tree and dependancies
    - Updated skill comments

    Tried FoH, can't say anything about the damage, as my paladin is Str/Dex, but using it for multi-target damage is quite tricky. Wouldn't the Lightning/Chain Lightning mechanics from original TQ be better? Make direct hit lightning damage, while the AoE part is magical and with bonus to undead?

    Finished normal today, even after few kills of last boss Grim is still closed. I'll do a few more runs, don't want to use Defiler yet. If the problem with unlocking next difficulty is caused by changing the last boss, put the trigger on "Speak to Persephone" or picking up the Overlord? If it's possible.

    Djed of Osiris relic is red for weapons, but green for armor. Can enchant all weapons in description.

    What damage type is the bonus from Persephone's Tears relic? If physical, wouldn't it be useless agains physical immune ghosts?

    Does Lower Resist break poison immunity? If not, then perhaps I'll try a Poison Dagger + auras build.

    Staff Attack description says it's independent of player's stats, but Staff mastery affects it. What about +Total damage from aura?

    I've found Nightmare, Int helmet with bonuses to Charget bolt/Charged strike. Is there more high lvl gear for Int/Dex lightning amazon?

    i know your talking bout developing paladin
    but the sorceresses' skill fire ball doesnt show up when you put points into it
    like you can eveen select it, it only has fire bolt but no fire ball

    It's upgrade to firebolt that adds an AoE explosion to it. Just as Ice Blast and Glacial Spike are upgrades to ice bolt.

    oh ok
    how can you tell if it actually works because i cant see any difference to the skill its self it still says the exact same damage as the base skill alone the upgrade hasnt mad any changes that i can see

    The base skills show only some of the changes the upgrades do. Silly automatic tooltips. But everything adds together.
    Also, it kind of EXPLODES when you hit something.

    As for posting here, no worries. This is not only about the Pala. And while bug reports would best be placed in the respective version's thread, the important thing is that I read them.

    That really has to be solved, I know, but I tried these thnigs already, and unfortunately it is not as simple.
    Apart from the fact that Act 4 quests are protected against changes, I have seen to it that the Hades it looks for does die. And the quest does finish.

    So it is not certain that this is the cause at all. It may happen in the menu. For all I know, it could be something silly like having an underline in the map name. So I have to trace it back to where it first appeared and/or find the error by exclusion. Takes a lot of time.

    True. But that is intended, and just like the original.
    In turn, each bolt that does hit does almost the same damage as a direct one, so it is basically a gamble for higher damage, which works better vs crowds.

    OTOH it is not supposed to be a pure crowd spell, as a chain lightning would be. That is the Blessed Hammer's role.

    That is bonus damage vs. a race, basically type-less. From what I observed, it goes directly to their life.



    Does Lower Resist break poison immunity?
    Total resistance reduction reduces every resistance there is. And the Necro curse specifically lowers poison res.
    So yes, it will also break "immunities" in the case of monsters which always were poison resistant (Scorpions, for instance) but had that number boosted above 100 in grim/hell.

    It will NOT break the racial immunities in D2I. Nothing in the player's capability does.
    In particular: Undead, Ghosts, Devices and Statues are not simply "immune" to poison and bleeding... they just don't do it.



    Staff Attack description says it's independent of player's stats, but Staff mastery affects it. What about +Total damage from aura?
    Staff Mastery is a direct modifier to the attack skill. But that is it. It is a debuff, and as such a separate entity, much like a summoned ally.
    What you can do, besides getting better Staves and raising that skill, is lower your cooldown and their resistances.

    Unfortunate, I know, but that was necessary in order to ensure the Staff Attack's most important ability, which is to have a melee-like attack that enemies cannot dodge (in spite of actually being a projectile). Sorceresses, at least, must be able to use it against those who would.

    Similar case. When creating mechanics that did not exist in the normal game, not everything is a design choice.
    In this case the "enemy near check" I use does not differentiate between living or dead.

    And the effect does increase in grim and hell. In normal, health just grows too much to have one perfect value.

    Yes. All items that used to give +skills, and some more, have been adjusted for common D2I builds.


    And then there is the Diablo 2 loot, growing steadily.

    If you have a favourite item you would like to see again, feel free to drop a suggestion with fitting TQ stats.
