    Duke Nukem Forever

    Release: 10.06.2011 EU, 14.06.2011 U.S.A.
    Genre: FPS

    HAIL TO THE KING

Put on your shades and prepare to step into the boots of Duke Nukem, whose legend has reached epic proportions in the years since his last adventure. The alien hordes are invading and only Duke can save the world. Pig cops, alien shrink rays and enormous alien bosses can't stop our hero from accomplishing his goal: to save the world, save the babes and to be a bad-ass while doing it.

The King arrives with an arsenal of over-the-top weapons, non-stop action, and unprecedented levels of interactivity. This game puts the pedal to the metal and tongue firmly in cheek. Shoot hoops, lift weights, play pool, draw crude messages on whiteboards or check out the babes that occupy Duke's life - that is if you can pull yourself away from destroying alien invaders. With hours and hours of over-the-top single player action, and a range of bodacious multiplayer modes, rest assured knowing the fun will last.
    Ego, and then Some:

Step into the shoes of Duke Nukem, the steroidal One-Man Army who never fails and always gets the Babes.
    Bust a Gut:

Duke pulls no punches. He does and says the things you are thinking. Duke's constant stream of hilarious one-liners throughout the game will have gamers rolling.
    World Interactivity:

Spend as much time as you want shooting hoops, lifting weights, playing pinball, pool, air hockey, and slots.
    Scale & Variety:

This game has it all; packed with explosive FPS action, outlandish settings, vehicle driving, and puzzle solving — gamers will never tire of the endless FUN.
    Multiplayer Like No Other:

Duke re-envisions classic modes of play in his own hilarious and humiliating way. Shrink your opponent and squash him with your foot. Freeze and shatter him. Attach explosives to his back. Roll a pipe bomb between his legs, or just frag him old-fashioned with a rocket.
It's Duke's world, we just play in it.

Did the Alien bastards not learn their lesson the first time? Duke has been on hiatus for some time now, kicking back and franchising himself on the fame he gained from saving Earth from the first invasion. The Aliens have returned to Earth yet again, messing up Duke's sweet routine of dirty leisure habits.

The Alien invaders are stealing Earth's women, especially the hot ones! And they drank Duke's beer. This. Won't. Stand. As Duke battles his way through waves of aliens, the once beautiful gambling haven and Duke Nukem franchise chains are crumbling before his eyes. Time to bring the pain!

    Alice Madness Returns

    Release: 14.06.2011
    Genre: Action

Eleven years ago a horrific fire took Alice’s family from her and left her mind horrifically scarred. Afterwards she was confined to Rutledge Asylum, where she struggled to confront her demons by slipping further into her fantasy world of Wonderland. Now, after ten years, she has finally secured her release—yet she still bears the heavy psychological burden of that tragic event.

With her mind in tatters, she is unable to resolve the fear prompted by her strange memories, dreams and visions. Perhaps she’ll do better in Wonderland. She always has. She travels there, seeking what the “real” world can’t provide: security, knowledge, and the truth about the past. But in
her absence, Wonderland too has suffered. Something has gone horribly wrong, and now a great evil is descending upon what once was her beautiful refuge. Can Alice save Wonderland—and herself—from the madness that consumes them both?
Intense 3rd person action: Use multiple upgradeable melee weapons, including the explosive Teapot Cannon, the punishing Hobby Horse, and the classic Vorpal Blade.

Explore a dark and shattered Wonderland: Encounter familiar but now strange characters, including the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter, the Caterpillar and the Red Queen.

Magical abilities: Obtain peculiar abilities in Wonderland such as floating with Alice’s dress, shrinking, or growing to towering sizes in order to crush enemies.

Interactive puzzles: Intuitive and rewarding puzzles such as transforming obstacles, musical memories, chess, and picture blocks

    Release: 15.06.2011

All-new and redesigned, Magic: The Gathering — Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 takes last year's massive hit game to even greater heights with better graphics, more options, and new challenges!

Face off against the AI, or gather your allies for the new multiplayer format: Archenemy, where you team up to take down a single opponent. And if one of your fellow Planeswalkers drops out, no problem—the AI will step in for uninterrupted action!

Featuring ten unique decks, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 also lets you customize those decks. As you progress in the game, you can enhance your deck by swapping in new, unlockable cards!

Gather your allies. A challenge awaits.
Sequel to the Top 10 game Duels of the Planeswalkers: Bigger and better in every way, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 adds new graphics and music, new cards and decks, new challenges, and new multiplayer game modes!

Gather your allies to face new Archenemies: In the new Archenemy format, you and two allies (players or AI) must work together to take down a powerful Archenemy and survive the extra powers from the Archenemy's special scheme deck

New decks using some of the newest cards: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 features ten new decks using cards from the latest Magic:The Gathering expansions, including your first chance to play with cards from Magic 2012. Each deck also offers 16 additional cards that can be unlocked as well.

Modify your deck for your own play style: We listened to what the community asked for, and now in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 players can now modify their decks to play the way they want. Players can add or remove cards from both starting cards and earned unlocked cards for each deck. Want more spells or creatures in your deck? The choice is yours!

Fifteen puzzling challenge levels: Puzzles are back and better than ever with difficulties ranging from easy to (really) hard including new Archenemy challenges.

Three- and Four-Player Online Co-op: Online co-op play is introduced to Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 for the first time as players can invite their friends to partner up with them at any time to take on the Archenemy or play against live opponents in Two-Headed Giant competition.

    EVE Online - Incarna

    Release: 21.06.2011
Genre: MMORPG, "Lazers - pew pew!"

Set Foot into Captain’s Quarters - Step out of your pod and into your own personal capsuleer suite, filled with the tools and toys that every pilot's pad should have.

Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall… - Browsing through your wardrobe and changing your appearance is a matter of simply stepping up to the mirror and clicking. Customization mirrors will be available in all Captain's Quarters.

Redone and Feature-filled New Player Experience - New players will embark on an improved tutorial mission designed to provide an epic and engaging experience. Aura, the classic voice of EVE Online's earlier tutorials, has returned to the new player experience! She's learned German and Russian as well.

The Noble Exchange(NeX) - Luxury items, rarities and articles of distinction can be purchased through the Noble Exchange (NeX), a boutique for the discriminating capsuleer, available in each station. NeX items can be purchased directly using Aurum, a new unit of currency obtained by converting PLEX, or through the market from any capsuleer who has purchased them and put them up for resale to other players.

Amarr’s Modern Maller Arrives - The Imperial Navy has redressed some of its cruiser-class ships, unveiling sleek new architecture and sophisticated detailing for the Maller, Sacrilege and Devoter .

Looking Good with Your Guns Out - New models and animations were created for most combat and industrial turrets currently in-game. Players can now preview turret animations by clicking their image in the Show Info window.

ECM Changes for Better Battle - We've rebalanced the number of ECM NPCs in a wide range of missions, especially the lower tier missions, to make sure those ECM NPCs aren't getting out of hand.

Traffic Advisory: Jumpbridge Changes Ahead - We've limited jumpbridges to one per system. To make them easier to use and decrease the logistics burden, we've also increased their fuelbay to 30,000m2.

Faction vs faction standings - Due to popular demand, we've re-introduced a standings tab for factions. You can now check your faction relations with the other factions from the Show Info window.

Performance Improvements - The ongoing initiative to optimize performance continues in Incarna, with multiple back end enhancements and fixes to improve user interface, gameplay and connection. Iteration on weapon grouping code, an updated channel retrieval system and refactoring of server-to-client fixes have all contributed to throttling up performance in the Incarna expansion.

Did notice it before, but somehow missed it for a year.

Not sure about longevity, but playing through the campaign was really fun (basically, the game is made of references) and multiplayer is hilarious.

So are some related videos by TotalBiscuit. Though the first one really says it all:

Did have a quick try of Magicka, but Steam gave me so much trouble trying to start the game that I've taken it all off the machine for the moment. Also have The Cursed Crusade, but haven't managed to get in to play that yet because of Steam hiccups.

Anyone tried Confrontation yet? It's a group Action/RPG (by that I mean group of heroes as in Balder's Gate, etc., and not just a single hero as in TQ) which looks like it might be interesting. Not that I get on well with group hero games, I prefer just a single toon to have to look after.
