    # damage absorbed

is the number the total damage you absorb before the buff wears out, or is that per hit? if it is the total damage, does the other attributes of the buff stay until the buff wears out, or does the buff automatically wear out?

after trying i think it is total damage absorbed, which doesn't make it very useful.

I disagree -- it's still very useful, and quite valuable. Especially if you dump a lot of skill points into the spell (I assume you're talking about Heat Shield).

If it absorbed the entire listed damage, which I think is 112 points of fire, physical, and piercing damage at level 1, it would be completely unbalanced -- when's the last time anything hit you for that much damage in one whack?

but considering the long cooldown and are legendary difficulty one hit probably does 10 times more than that...

The moves are completely useless... I'm still new and I know that lol. if you played D2 its just like the necro and druid moves, bone armor and ... tornado armor?

The fact is, neither of the 2 skills can prevent more than 400 damage at the max level. Any healing spell is better, regrowth and rally can both put this move to shame, and they will heal you after taking ANY damage.

Now... if it was for a duration and took that much off PER HIT... that would be amazing.
