    Difficulty of Lilith + Paths

    Hello everyone,

    A friend of mine and I began the Paths mod today and we managed to merge it with the mod Lilith. So we have Lilith 1.1 and Paths 1.4 and all work perfectly.. But...

    The difficulty of the database "LilithPaths14.arz" we found (posted on this forum) is really too hard... I read somewhere that it was Lilith Insane and add to this the double mobs that Paths gives, you have something really really hard (we're blocked at about 7 hours of playing, the game is really difficult).

    We tried to change the difficulty by using the Difficulty Changer of Lilith (that doesn't work, since it's to change the difficulty of Lilith with mods) and the Difficulty Changer of Paths (we tried the Normal Spawns and Standart difficulty but same thing, it does not change th edifficulty with Lilith but only with the normal game).

    I think it would be possible to merge the two database of Lilith in normal difficulty (Excellent) and Paths with double mobs (normal spawn) and normal difficulty (Standart)... But I don't know how to do it.

    Can anyone give a solution ?

    Thanks and, by the way, Paths is the perfect mod, you really managed to change the very depths of TQ and to give it another look =)

    Thanks you Jiaco for your answer,

    Yes I already tried your new database. In fact, you created it to correct a bug in Asteria but the problem is that this database remove many things of Paths like the 4 points for masteries and 12 points for attributs, the double mobs, the potion cooldown, etc...

    But the monsters are more simple and yes, it is in Excellent Lilith so the difficulty did change.
    Is there a way to put this difficulty in a new database which will keep all the Paths system ?

    The reason I pointed you to that old thread was basically that I have zero time to work on TQ right now.

    After the summer holidays, there will be new options but for now, everything I have is broken in some way or another and there is nothing I can do about it until I have some solid free time.

    While Destinies had basically no modifications outside the masteries, there was a lot of records in Paths. When the Sandwraith bug was uncovered, I just did a simple extraction of the masteries records from paths to over-write lilith records and skipped all the other subdirectories.

    I know where the mastery/attribute points are and I know that there are many different potion records, each with their own cooldown, but I do not know what ShadowLance did with the mobs, unless it was just changes in the gameengine. There are programs that allow you to extract arz files, you could extract the database I linked you, change those records and rebuild it. Should work if you do the database rebuild in Artmanager without rebuilding the whole mod (right click the top level folder in the database tab and select rebuild, do not do a menu F7 rebuild).

    Have you a clue about the toolset?

    Well, to be honest, I don't know many things about modding. I used ArtManager only once in order to merge the texts of Lilith FR and Paths FR. I don't think I'll manage to rebuild the mod with all theses changes but I'll try.

    Don't apologize for the fact that you don't have the time to do it. I know you're the one who's working on Lilith 1.2 and we all have our life =) You do a very great job ^_^

    Thanks again, I'll try some things but I don't even know where to look exactly. I think I'll look at the Paths (normal campaign) database and your database and see where it can be different... And since I'm french, it's hard to know all the words used by the engine.

    Well, as I thought, I don't understand any thing about this =)

    If anyone has the skills to do it, can he gives a hand please ?

    Lilith and Paths are two excellent mods, it's sad we can't play to both at the same time with a normal difficulty :/

    Since it would only take me a small bit of time to manually make this, I will try to do it. Give me a day or two and I will post back here.

    Oh, that would be pretty interesting, actually. I've also tried playing Lilith + Paths, but I find it much too difficult. I know Lilith is supposed to be some kind of tough (and Paths too), but well, here, it's a little "too much" ! Compared to the "normal" Paths, which I've tried too, Lilith + Paths is clearly much more difficult.

    When playing a Venefici + Poseidon (which I think is not a bad build by any means), I died more than 20 times before reaching Asteria... I must admit I was a bit disappointed ^^'
    And losing Paths' specifities (4 skill points per level and a longer potion cooldown) would be pretty frustrating too.

    If you could do something about it, Jiaco, that would be great ! (If you have some spare time to do it, of course)

    Last weekend, I failed to get it done. My computer is basically out of disk space on certain partitions and most of my custommaps are in compressed archives on a different disk. It is less of a modding task than a windows task. It just sucks.

    But this weekend, I will try again to find the archives I need and liberate some space on my home and games partitions so I can build the mod you people want.
