There was a pretty good discussion on the seeds and random number generator here. After some investigation it was obvious (to me) that there is an issue with the PRNG implementation where it would overflow and that it was not a true Park-Miller implementation.
I have modified a set of game dlls which correct the issue with the PRNG. I have the retail release and fanpatch 1.17a installed. Anyone willing to try these will need to backup their game.dll and engine.dll and copy in the modified files.
Version 2 is compatible with TQDefiler mods.
Also anyone who tries these files, please post any results in this thread.
