How to make Artifacts

Heya everyone, It's been a long time. I started playing again on a new machine and every time I try to make an Artifact it quits to windows. I don't lose the items, it just ends the game. Damn, I didn't think win7 would have a problem. Can anyone help. I've been playing this game forever and love it. I want to play it but if I can't build an artifact I don't know what to do. Any help out there?

either you re-install that game OR

install it on a windows XP OS,

and extract your save game files
to the XP platform

see if the problem persist.

if the problem is still there... then your game installer , there is some problem

i am playing in XP platform while my bro plays in W7 , we used to exchange items through copying characters file from his to mine
no problem encountered
