This is the point where I would have to tell you about the poorness in the East and all that kind of stuff but I personally find piracy discussions being pointless so...back to TQ I guess. Besides, I already posted too much here and I am sure there are people wondering what the hell am I doing here so I will leave you to the TQ discussions.

So one thing I've noticed from outside of game to in the game is that the vault often shows incorrect values...is there any way to remedy this?

Also, for my conqueror, I'm torn between two shields. I really like what the prefix Cyclopean does for my current shield; the percentage increase in damage and strength is fantastic (19% and 10% increase respectively). However, aside from a very small percentage of energy regen, that's all that current shield is offering me. So i found another shield that has the stats: 5% chance of 100% damage resistance, 22% pierce resistance, +6 strength, +8 dexterity, +8% atkspd, 26% pierce resistance (not sure why there are two?), and 15% chance of 9-15 piercing retaliation. The cyclopean shield i currently am using was found on normal, this other shield was found killing Nessus on Epic. So, you TQ veterans, just by looking at the numbers, which one am I better off using on a conqueror? I am just afraid of losing out on a lot of damage by switching to this new shield, even though it offers a lot more utility. Oh and I forgot to mention that the new shield I found has a 6% increased block chance and when blocking an attack blocks 85 more damage. And the cooldown is 0.5 seconds faster.

Aside from that, I finished up Normal on my Conqueror with no hitches, although those grandmaster machae archers are a bloody pain. They kite so well. Hades was easy, but I found Undead Typhon to be a bit of a challenge. He took me rather low a few times before I finished him off. And winning a fight is never as satisfying while sucking down a bunch of potions... Hades' generals were also EXTREMELY challenging as well, even with 76% pierce resistance. Even with a decent armor and high pierce resistance, I really hate how strong the archers are in act 4. I don't know any other way to counter it without making a BIG change in gear. I'm now playing my Conqueror through Act1 epic and it's extremely easy as I'm sure no one would have guessed. I maxed out onslaught and put a couple points in the other skills going up the onslaught tree but have otherwise ignored the warfare tree almost completely. I like what the defense tree offers me more.

I was playing my Oracle through the end of Act 2 Normal and the beginning of Act 3 normal, but I stopped a bit after Barmanu because it's just too easy. Squall is way too strong that early on. I also don't know the best kind of gear for a caster type toon so I wanted to look that up and see what my options were. Do I focus on energy leech, vitality damage, lightning damage, etc. I'd like to hear people's thoughts.

I'll probably look to finish up epic difficulty on my conqueror. I've found some decent drops and I might need to make a gear re-evaluation towards the middle/end of Act 2 in preparation of Act 3. I'm hoping I get some SBC drops when I hit that section of Act 1, but even if they don't drop it's not a big deal, it's only Epic. Otherwise, I might dabble in my Ritualist. I still only have 4 toons haha. And only 2 of them are out of Normal difficulty :P

Oh and one last thing: I don't have to have Defiler actually open and running in order for the RNG fix to be in effect, correct? Cause I downloaded it a long time ago but realized I never checked the RNG fix box. I did that yesterday but now I'm wondering if I have to have Defiler running while I'm playing TQ in order for the RNG fix to be in effect. I think maybe I'm a bit paranoid over loot drops after how long it took me to get my first pair of legendary SBC and my legendary Bramblewood bow on my brigand :P

I would go with the Cyclopean shield, unless that means your pierce resistance is negative. What damage do both shields do?

The double piercing resistance on that Outrider's Buckler is because it's a monster infrequent (MI). It can only be dropped by centaur's, and always comes with pierce resistance and those other stats. But MI's can also get prefixes and suffixes like yellow/green items, so yours has a bonus piercing resistance prefix.
There may be no 'I' in team, but there's a 'ME' if you look hard enough.

As for your Defiler question, all you need to do is open Defiler, check the mods you wish to enable, close it out and you're set to go. No need to have Defiler open and running while playing the game. And those mods will stay active until you go into Defiler and uncheck them.

Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to fix the item values listed in TQVault. For whatever reason, the values shown in the Vault are incorrect when compared to the values shown in-game on items. So, you have to place the Vault items into your toon's inventory then go into the game to see the correct values.

As for those pesky Machae archers, you can do a couple of things. You have Shield Charge as a Conq, and that's very handy to speed into a group of archers and take them out before they can do a lot of damage to you. Also, you can use the environment to force the archers to come to you so you can deal with them one at a time. For example, you can hide behind a pillar and the archers will be forced to close distance to you in order to attack. This turns the battle into your favor and can make it much easier to deal with those guys. Or, you can lure single archers away from the pack and take them out one at a time rather than aggroing the entire group.

Sorry Laurrrr, that argument doesn't wash with me because if they're so poor how can they afford the equipment to play a ripped off game in the first place, short of stealing it? Yes, I know games can be hiddeously expensive in some countries, but there is such a thing as saving up for what you want. It's a credit based world, yet saving a few pounds/dollars/yen, etc. every week or month means you have the cash on hand to help with purchases/emergencies when you most need it and there's no interest to pay on it; in fact you may earn some. $5 a week saved over a year will give you $260, $5 a month is $60. Given that news of the really big games coming out is years ahead of their release dates those figures would easily match the purchase price anywhere in the world I would think.

Thanks for the info, spectre! Much appreciated. And best of luck with your studies.

    Very well.

You see, the minimal salary here is 190.50$ and the medium salary is 399.24$ for the average person here, assuming the person has a good job. From all of this money a big part goes to paying bills, buying food and paying the debts because there are lots of people in debt here. Assuming the person still has some money then he/she will buy things for his/her urgent needs. If he/she still has some money then they will go to entertainment stuff games excluded. While there are people buying games here they are not that common because of the primitive maturity level our people have. You said that if they have money to buy a PC then they should have money to buy games too. Now it gets a little more interesting. Once Joe buys a pc he thinks right a way that if he can get the game for free then why should he buy it?

I believe my last sentence sums up all I've been trying to point out and combined with our financial situation...it's bad. Very bad. I have a feeling I am not making any sense here but I am extremely tired now so I will re-write it tomorrow if I sounded incoherent as hell.

No, you are making good sense so don't worry about that. I do see your point and I can understand why some people do it. However, we both know there are also people around the world who could easily afford to buy things, but don't. And whatever the reason, it is still stealing because you have taken something that belongs to someone else.

I can understand, but I can't condone. We'll just have to agree to disagree regarding this subject.
