Have you heard of the term confirmation bias Irma?
It seems to me you can only stop farming an area after a good find, not the other way around.

No, confirmation bias would be if I kept saying "one more run" until I found something. But with this toon, I'm deciding how long to farm an area in advance - and stuff is dropping on the last run. I decided to farm the Gorgon Queens for a whole level and then leave when I leveled up, and I did exactly that. I leveled up by killing the Queens, they didn't drop anything on that run so I pushed ahead through Pythian exactly as I had planned - and found SBC from my single run through Pythian.

When I reached MinoLab I was already nearly half-way towards the next level. So I again decided to farm there just until I leveled up, and then push ahead to MinoLord and Megalesios. I found two more pairs of SBC in that half a level so I had no reason to stay and keep farming. I had four pairs of SBC already. But, because I'd decided to stay there until the level-up, I stuck with the plan. And it was on that exact run that I leveled up that the Thorny dropped. So, to put it another way, I'm not having great luck on the "one more run" but rather on each run where I also level up. Weird.

So a week and a half back I told myself that I planned on playing Titan Quest: Immortal Throne from the start to the end legitimately. On top of that, I wanted to try to find every worthwhile item in the game. I just completed epic with a conquerer. One thing that I noticed was that I feel extremely low level in legendary, but it isn't that difficult. In epic, I was on my way to delphi and found Phorko's Trident and my damage more than doubled. Since then I have not had a problem at all.

I do plan on completing Legendary, and then trying my hands on something a bit more difficult like a Paladin or something with a bow. I might even stream the next character on twitch.tv from start to finish.

I bought a (beastly) laptop a month ago and now I can finally play TQ without graphics being low/low/low and without lagging (too many lag deaths...). I know that feeling of a "fresher" TQ experience in terms of Graphic quality all too well. It was the same for me when I bought a new Computer back in April

Thanks people, it sure is nicer to combat enemies and not the game itself. Although I have to admit, fun is not the term I would use when I play... leveling many chars and going through normal so many times is really annoying. Mobs are truly trash, barely posing any real challenge. Also sorting so many charms and items became a chore (and I just can't sell anything away, I'm sort-it-all person).

Then again, this damn summer spoils my mood to play for sure, I don't feel fun with any game I try to play, it's just too damn hot to enjoy anything =/ I prefer going out then staying near this heating machine

To top it off, end game chars with strong gear can look so damn colorful and ridiculous it's kills my mood to finish any char XD Why is all good looking stuff weak? Sometimes I just wanna dress my chars in gear I like, take a screenshot and not play them at all...

Bah, I hope this mood passes me once snow starts falling. Or at least leaves start falling.

Hey, Asheron, good to see you back here! And congrats on your new PC! I see you and spectre have done what I've been wanting to do for several years, and that is upgrade my PC. Recent events (surgery) have postponed that goal, but hopefully I can buy/build a new PC soon and enjoy this game (and others) they way it's meant to be played. Might I ask the specs of your new laptop? I'm curious as to what you've got that runs TQIT so well. For myself, I'd prefer to get a new desktop PC, but I need a laptop and I can't afford one of each, so I'm keeping my eyes open for ideas.
