I was never very good with Monster Lure, but there is not a chance in hell I'm taking on the Hydra or the secret passage without it... bad enough with melee toons. I will see how useful Storm Surge is later on and just respec if I find I'm killing everything before they can even reach me.

Two of the main things I fear are the horse-women things and the Machae in Act4, they are so bloody quick it might actually be hard to not get surrounded by them. With little armour it will probably get a bit hairy now and then... but that is always more fun to be honest.

Thing is, I'm not using squall till later on(as I said, makes things to easy) so some defensive abilities will be needed in Normal.

Hi all, back again. Pretty much a wash out, rain every day so squirrel hunting was a bit of a dud. Still, a nice BBQ sounds great, especially if we can have lemming pudding for afters.

Off to the rest of the forum to read up on all the things I've missed. Then I can get back to playing!

Hello again Medea. Hope you enjoyed whatever it was that you were doing... something about squirrels it seems.

In other news my Sage just found me my first ever Eldritch's Bow... it's a Relentless one so it has +19% damage, +42% Attack speed, and +50% projectile speed. This thing turned me from a catapult into a machine gun... I be a happy bunny. Would have been better if it was ...of lightning, but that is hoping for a bit much me thinks.

@ Dean -- Whoa, a Relentless Eldritch's Bow? Jeez, what a good find! I've found a grand total of two Eldritch's Bows in 5+ years of playing, and both are Normal with no affixes. Still, for an early archer, they're excellent. Good job!

Buffalo squirrels?... nah. I live in Canada. Buffalo is only a short drive from here, but there are plenty of sqwerls 'round here to keep me satiated.

Tell me about it, when it first dropped I was like 'meh, it's going to be basic like most Mi's'. When I actually picked it up though my jaw hit the bloody floor.
I guess the game is trying to make up for the hours and hours of SBC farming that I did... and failed at. To be fair, ...of the Gryphon items are pretty great anyway.

That's what I love about this game, so many choices. You barely ever 'have' to be using a certain item.

I started a Defender today because I haven't played one in yonks... but my god I forgot how slow this mastery starts out.

I'm also really not sure what I will pick for my second mastery, I'm quite liking that Stun Paladin idea I read about... but I'm not sure if it will kill fast enough for my liking later on.
Kinda stuck between Paladin, Templar or Warden to transform into. The last two I have played before, but only up until mid Epic and that was when I had no idea what I was really doing.
