Wish granted, but the Wish Fairy finds you and banishes you to a bottomless pit and makes your mouth and hands disappear (so you cannot make wishes with your voice or sign language).

I wish that I could control time.

Wish granted, but the first time travel throws you into a loop, causing you to repeat whatever you did from birth till the time you make your first time travel all over again. Ofcourse this is an endless loop. So better hope you've had a joyful life, as you'll be living it forever..


Btw - I thought the meaning of corrupting a wish was actually to corrupt a wish, much like a djinn. Not to grant the wish and than let it follow by a completely unrelated death event of the wishmaker?

I wish for the world to make more sense, like those popular hollywood movies.

Wish granted, but then everyone becomes super intelligent and is good at everything leading us to the point of not having people fill lowly servant jobs like working McNasty or Walmart. This leads to the creation of robots who then enslave us.

I wish we could use cellular devices while in school.

Wish granted - but you'll learn nothing at school anymore since everyone cheats with cellular devices and nobody pays attention to the teachers anymore. Which means school has become even more pointless and you actually gain nothing from going there. And because you remain dumb, you quickly end up at the McNasty - where use of cellular devices is explicitly forbidden.

Apparantly there's only one potion in Diablo 3, so non-stacking isn't a problem ...

Granted. People start playing TQ, get addicted to it and the whole world economy collapses because people are too busy playing TQ. Than the power switches off, as there's noone to man the reactors... what follows is a nuclear meltdown, in which the earth's population is decimated. The few who survive battle for the last electricity that's left; because electricity means being able to play TQ.

I wish that all record companies would bankrupt.

I wish my laptop would be imbued with magical powers and it could: Be charged forever, invincible to malicious hacks/spam/scams artists(and every single kind of scam ever imagined/created...ever),/ invincible to breaks and falls, could be always up to par with the best component, and magically chained to me so that if anyone tried to steal it, it wouldn't work for said person.
