    Offline Titan Quest Equipment Database

This was posted elsewhere on this forum, but it does deserve a thread of its own:

The Offline Titan Quest Equipment Database - Extended Edition

The database works as a windows help (.chm) file.

    Here's a screenshot of it.

EDIT: updated the OP with the Extended edition information, and the corresponding Wikia article too.

    Very nice work.

Btw, if it does not open correctly you have to assign it to hh.exe in the windows directory.

    Offline Titan Quest Equipment Database
    Extended Version 1.0

    About the extension:

I proudly present my work over the past week, the extended version of the Titan Quest Equipment Database. I was blown away by the database so I decided to add further features:

    • Added all Monster Infrequents from all difficulties
    • Added MasteriesCalc 0.2
    • Added OccultulatorRC2

(It was painful to get the Occultulator to work inside the .chm)

    Download locations:

    rapidshare
    sendspace
    megaupload

    Special Thanks:

    • to the developers of the Titan Quest Equipment Database v1.17.2, Obi Van (2007 year) and Evil_Good (TQ.net: Tonatos) from forums.ag.ru
    • to i.n.s.a.n.e and jiaco for the calculators.

I imagine, if Occult actually comes out I will have to go back into that Occultulator source, ugh what a nightmare that beast was.

Bailing wire and duck tape (was all that held that code together)

    Major contrats to you.

If you are willing to have a look at changed source code you can use CHM Decoder to extract the chm. I changed a few things concerning restore and backup. Additionally I disabled text selection during a clickable icon is focused because otherwise text was selected during shift clicking (in IE and using the CHM). The really painfull part was that the chm doesn't support the setAttribute function so all the dynamically created elements which needs attributes for the mouse behavior weren't working, I had to create them statical in the html part and load them instead when the content is added (9 for the masteries and 2x42 for the skills). The code is still messy but its a bit more "stable" and it runs better in IE now.

BTW, you've show a way to extract the chm-File ... have you a tip for an chm-Encoder?!

It would be consideration to translate this file to Germany, if you didn't have anything against it!?!
