Iron Door

Hey everyone - After killing the caterpillar behind the origin key gate, and the boss behind the end key door, I find an Iron Gate that says it's closed. Is this just a tease or is there a way to get through it?

I have gone through this whole area and am going back for some parchments I am missing. I have the ends key and the final Iron Door is still closed and will not open. Is there another way to get in!! I have killed the Catepillar and "the One Who Has No Name". I even have both the origins and ends key and still no luck!
