Thread: More Spells

    Lightbulb More Spells

I've seen other people say they want stronger spells, which can be solved with intel. But what about some variety? i know murderbunny is coming out with the occultist mod, and then theres the masteries mod, (murder is fixing this somewhat...read his reply haha) , once you get to lvl 12 you can max your mod, then at 23 you can max your 2nd (this is beside the point but i'm getting there) then you have these ultimate power spells for a few lvls before they just become regular spells...well...your stuck with the 3-5 good ones you decide to use through epic and legendary...why dont these masteries have a few more lvls and a few more spells past the 32 mastery lvl limit? something that relates not only to mastery lvl but your character level as well, so you have a brand spanking new spell once you reach legendary to pwn your enemies with so to speak. you guys get my point?

    Re: More Spells

As much as I love having my mod (which isn't yet out) misrepresented, I would like to point out that I have increased the max mastery level to 40, as well as improved over-levels on skills to make them more viable in later difficulties. Not to mention, I've changed some flat bonuses to percentage bonuses. In addition, I've also done by best to make sure many old and new skills offer something besides flat damage amounts, like secondary abilities that prolong their utility.

But, all that aside, the real problem with the masteries is that the game is too easy so you don't need to use the vast majority of skills available, in particular the defensive skills. Anyone who's played DoN or Uber knows that builds need to become far more versatile, and skills previously ignored suddenly become attractive.

    Re: More Spells

someone should make a mastery with the mob skills in it.. or something similar. Like Barmanu's meteor rain, the water projectile attacks, the AoE attacks the Melinoe Blood Priests do etc etc.

    Re: More Spells

DoN = Double or Nothing. It's a mod that increases the mob numbers and their difficulty, as well as doubles the experience you get, but removes all experience on death (and no gravestone xp recovery).

I don't think most mob skills would be too interesting and unfortunately it's not possible to add a new mastery to the game (it would replace an existing mastery).
