Ok, I updated the OP - I accidentily zipped the rar file, so I uploaded a new project. It's only zipped. No rar.

Also, if anyone's still getting the trojan horse warning (I actually did myself, lol), you can download the patched files and install them manually. It's a lot bigger though.

(This new lag happens sometimes when a pack of monsters is about to appear on the screen)
    I have an AMD Athlon64x2 BE-2400 (2.3GHz), GeForce 8600GT 256Mb (1280x1024), 4Go DDR2 RAM

Well, I think the trojan horse warning was either generated because it affected a .dll file (engine.dll, for the version number) or perhaps because I double packed it. You can download the files seperately for a manual install.

I really can't imagine how this patch would give rubberbanding. Safe for the version number, it fixes mostly database.arz issues. Not anything performance related... I think the cause of your rubberbanding problem lies somewhere else.
Anyway I have a 1.16 to 1.1 uninstaller ready, it requires some testing, but with a bit of luck I can release it tomorrow.

Loading lag is pretty common. You've got a lot of ram, but hard drive performance will still come into play. With all the installing and uninstalling, it might be time for you to defrag.

Also, in general, windows defrag doesn't really make things better. I recommend using basically anything else. I use PerfectDisk.

I was unable to reproduce the problem you're having. I recommend you try the same thing--restore the 1.15 files and have a look.

BTW: lag and rubberbanding are two different things. Lag is a delay, stuttering, or pausing during play. Rubberbanding is where you run forward but then are suddenly snapped backwards as if you'd never run forward. It happens a lot in multiplayer games (and can be the result of lag) where the game is constantly updating the host with with positional information that doesn't always match up, so the game resets the player to where they should be. I haven't experience any of this playing single player that I can think of ever.

I must defrag at least 2 times a day

I already removed by regedit the windows auto-defrag. I use JkDefrag.
Maybe, as I installed more games, the TQ files are not enough parked now.

Good idea. Maybe I'll do. And I must have loading lags; rarely 2 seconds the longest, before the worst was 0.5 second; not rubberbanding.

Yerk, thanks for the patch, and everyone involved. I'm not experiencing any issues so far so job well done!

C'était une bonne idée d'appliquer 100/150 de CD au lieu de 100/50 % pour les jambière de batra .... et si j'ai bien suivi, avec le 1.16 c'est retour en arrière.

    Well by all means do.

We decided to leave it in because it's a balance issue and not in the scope of this project. A balance patch will follow later on.

    Re: [REL] Bugfix patch

So I did a fresh re-install of TQ & TQ-IT with new characters, etc.
(All old files were uninstalled & deleted, including the player files).

Applied the patches (1.15 then 1.16).

There was a mention of turning Laches at Helios into a quest NPC to fix some problems (! above his head). But there was no (!) above Laches head.

Is this normal if I was starting off from scratch (starting a new character) under patch 1.16?
