Beginning player, who choose warrior as primary...

What's a good secondary to go with? Does it has the same effect as in guild wars? Some secondary profession doesn't match a primary one?

Which one would you guys advise a starting player to add as a secondary profession to the primary Warrior, and why?

    Thanks mates!

Defense (mace + shield) - for lots of..defence Though it definately doesn't lack in offence either. Quite a perfect match.

Dream (dual wield) - Also compliments Warfare in many ways. Damage, crowd control, lots of defensive boosts.

Those two are the best and easiest in my opinion. Can't go wrong with either one, both are very tough and deal tons of damage.

Nature (dual wield) - 65% more HP, pets and a great debuff against monsters.

Spirit (dual wield) - Excellent offensive ability, tons of damage to health, very strong pet.

(Spear) Slayer - DPS boost, defensive boosts.

These three are little weaker, but still strong, good choises.

Battlemage (dual wield) - good pet, two good spells.

Thane (dual wield) - Some spells.

    Assassin (dual wield) - ?

These three are the weakest, a little more challenging and may require some knowledge of the game to make the best out of them. I do like my Thane and Battlemage, but they are quite special builds. A Thane can be unkillable with the right items. Assassin is the weakest in my opinion when it comes to Warfare + x build, though it has some trick in his sleeve.

Hmm, dream sounds pretty good, hard to decide between dream or defence, nature and spirit sound great as well. Tough decision to make, I guess you can't change it back later?

Edit: By the way, thanks for the informative detailed post!

once you've chosen your second mastery there's no going back.
as Poinas said, Defense is THE perfect match for Warfare. if you haven't played TQ at all before, it may be easier to start with Conqueror (War+Def), that's the recommended combo for beginners.

I would say defense. Im currently playing for my first time, just rolled into act 2 and I'm warfare + Defense. Batter + Rend Armor do wonders on mobs.

You say that, but IMO Phantom Strike/Dreamstealer is much stronger no? More targets, more damage, plus you get a trance somewhere along the line. I would start as Harbinger if i start Titan Quest again (im free n my com is just formatted, so fresh start just like any1 else )

Check out my sig, which coincidentally was a Warfare FAQ that was written by yours trully. its rather outdated tho, since its been quite a while since i last played the game. Gonna get back into it (right into the DoN challenge, i think ) once i find the CD

Anyway, if you cant find a satisfactory Warfare build there, there shouldnt be much else that i can offer
