Help! getting beat up by a level 16 Cyclops

So i enter the area just after Kerata Forest with my lvl 10 Conquerer eager to do some more killing and looting and lo and behold...i encounter a lvl 16 Cyclops, thinking that the sparten NPCs in the area would make the fight easier i charge the Cyclops.......turns out that the Cyclops was more than a match for me and the spartans...i fled through a portal with barely a breath.

Any idea how to battle this guy? i don't remember him being there when i played the game back in 06 and his quite tough for my lvl 10 Conquerer...that huge dude takes up over half my HP with 1 hit.

After a dozen or so deaths and a little persistance i beat him.....still, tough for when i encountered him...even the Centaur Boss wasn't as tough.

For all Warfare-characters it is wise to max Battle Standard early, it greatly helps when fighting bosses.

He's one of the most challenging bosses in the game, due to your low level when facing him for the first time. Don't worry, you'll get your revenge on him in Epic.

I'm not sure what kind of damage that wave of his deals, but getting a resistance for that would help I guess, also a well placed Battle Standard could win the day. As Irma2 said, he'll be a piece of cake in Epic.

IIRC its %health reduction, so grab some vitality resist.

And you can't count on the invisible barrier to stop him. I remember the 2nd toon I took to battle this guy, he actually crossed the barrier after me and i had a HELL of a time killing him after that - with no respite possible. He followed me everywhere....

I haven't had that happen since - must have been a newbie init.
