    Vampirism... and what?

I'm having terrible trouble deciding on what to do for my first Masteries toon. I do know I want to go Vampirism for certain (hence the fact this thread is in this forum), but am not quite sure which of these to settle on... note that the masteries in brackets are the order I think I would take them.

Myrmidon (Vampirism and Close Combat) - using the Way of Kane
Toxaphile (Archery and Vampirism) - using Nosferaturian Way
Seducer (Vampirism and Mysticism) - using Draculian Way

Any thoughts from those who have tried any of these classes?

    Re: Vampirism... and what?

I gotta say Myrmidon only cuz I have no experience with the others LOL!

Some things to notes not sure on order, I did close combat/vampirism personally and was very satisfied with the results. Currently have a lvl 53 Myrmidon working through act 4 Epic and have been very happy with the results.

That being said absolutely right with the way of cain, this one skill and its synergies work very well. If you do go vamp first focus on getting the first synergie for Way of Cain as soon as possible as the dmg to health is a life saver for the relatively low life of a Vampire. Although as I have said in other threads, decent gear and Close Combat mastery will definitely close the gap on health. Currently have 3300+ hp at lvl 53.

Just my 2 cents tho so take it as such

You do not have to use any Way skill when you need to use some of its "synergy". In the other words - you can use all "synergies" from Way of Cain with Draculian Way also...

    ....

I prefer Draculian way for its incredible life leech potential and great run speed increase, it suits melee great...

Using any Way skill from Archery is in my opinion better...if you really want to use any Way skill from Vampirism, I would recommend Draculian one for its great run speed...

Way of sickness arrow for archery more than +200% total damage FTW, also the archery ways are all meant to be used with a bow where as Nosferaturian way is meant more for casters.

Personally i would go for Vamp +CC

I'm playing Vampire + Alchemy. Gotta love the resists/dodge/avoid that alchemy provides as well as the best crowd control mastery. Dunno if I'll ever chuck a bomb. Philosophers stone is also a crit boon. High Spirits makes even faster weapon speed and is good considering the high cap.
The Specialists-Single Mastery in X-max (normal):
Warfare - Epirus; Hunting - Epirus; Spirit - Rhodes; Nature - Thebes; Storm - Ambrosus; Defense - Sais; Dream (Jaden level 39, zero deaths) - Epirus; Earth, Rogue - unstarted

I personally use Way of Kane on my combat/vamp cause of the %damage to life, im dual wield on him and have one of my weapons have %damage to live and a relic on there that also has %damage to life, works wonders for keeping his health up . I'm only on normal so far though, no idea if that will change past that or not.

I love my seducer so far, i just put down desecrate ground and stuff just dies .

I'm playing construction with my vampire which is the reanimator class. So far, at level 24, the damage is good, the defense is good from way of kane and the armor booster in construction, and the traps help distract the bosses just long enough for me to go toe to toe with them and hack and slash without too much running away to recuperate!

    Re: Vampirism... and what?

I started with vampirism and sorcery. I startedt off using nosferatuian way, that life leech skill, and vampire bats. Now at level 33 the only vampirism skills I'm using is nosferatuian way maxed, and blood shield maxed. All my other points are in sorcery. I figure the intell and cast speed bonus from nosferatuian way kicks ***, and is a better all around choice than picking an elemental way, since I like to use all my spells like a maniac, rather than switch ways and use them to follow . Vampirism has one fatal flaw; It sucks *** against undead, flat out. It has one SORTA good skill for undead. though seriously, unless you're a melee fighter that's useless too.
As I see it unless you're going fighter, then vampirism is a support class, not a main class. so pick something that the vampire skills can assist you in.
