THQ either needs to sell the rights for another trusted company to make a sequel, or get one going themselves with another one of their studios.

Why would they do that? if they wants to make TQ2, wouldn't it be IL a logical choice? It's about money and profits. Like movies, if a movie generates a lot of money, you bet there will be a sequel....then a trilogy.
Too bad TQ does not fit the bill.
