    Fraps SOLVES the stuttering..

I posted this on the technical forum, but maybe this might help you out

I've had all kinds of stuttering issues in lower olympus and middle of tombs/temples.

Its weird because the west, east, south wings in tombs/temples run just fine- 40< FPS in all high settings. but RIGHT in the MIDDLE is when the slideshow starts......

Also lower olympus just stutters like there is no tommorow, so I decided to frap it to show the community of problems with this engine.

    I hit f9
    Voila...stutter gone...
    I hit f9 again
    stutter resumes....

How is it that when I am recording, the stutter disappears?- am I forced to run fraps in typhon runs to get smooth playability in sacrfice of few fps?

I do have a high end rig, but forced to play in 1024 since this game dosn't like nvidia very much

    I know how you feel.

    I have a 4200 X2 with a 7800GTX and I still get stuttering.

I found that dropping the settings to low fixes it. Its really not even noticable at 1680x1050. The only thing I have to keep up is shadows as the low quality shadows give me a headache with all their shimmering.

I'm really disapointed by this games performance. Oblivion seriously runs better on my PC with maxed settings than this game does at medium settings.

I can appreciate the amount of details the devs put into all the models, but frankly, its just pointless. You really cant notice it at all when you have the camera moved back far enough so you can see where you're going.
