Are Ring/Item Bonuses Cumulative?

I was going to get a second ring to boost Pet damage but are the benefits cumulative? If both rings add 5% to Vitality Damage does that add up to 10% total or is there no benefit to having the second ring. Likewise, if there is a damage bonus on an item should I buy a ring with the same benefit?
