Among The Ruin - Sidequest Help. Bug ???

Hi guys

Im havin pretty difficult problem in this sidequest, which i believe maybe bug.

I have rescue all the human in the ruins, total is 9 humans, and yet the npc never speak to me and reward me.
After rescue the 9 human by elimating the monster, i go further inside the ruins, and end up found the monster captain ... so i did destroy the captain too.

Yet there is still no respond found >_<!!

Am i missin something ??/ I try to re-play the quest numerous times but still yet to figure out

You need to speak to the guy near the entrance to the city, not the guy back at the camp near the rebirth fountain.

I have never had a problem with this quest.

Have you actually freed them all? Their positions are noted with the yellow markers on the mini map. If there are any that have not moved back to somewhere near the save point, then you have missed some.

Have a wander around and see if there are any remaining.

If you've done all that, then it may be a bug. It's only a side quest and the reward isn't great so just move on and foget it.

but strangely, after i rescue all of them, no update or watsoever ...so total there are 9 human ??

this happens to me too.
neither the man who give the quest 1st near the portal, nor the man at the P... city main entrance update the quest, the exclamation mark above their heads keep grey, talk doesnt help.
Maybe it is because of killing the monster captain before returning for reward?
well, maybe should reset this side quest then.

I've had the same problems with quests.

The culprit? Playing online.

When people speed through the game ahead of you and finalize certain quests that you may not have the items for...you get screwed sometimes.

Case in point; the side quest where you are supposed escort a messenger to another general further down the path. I've done this quest in normal and epic mode but can't get it in Legendary. Sad thing is this single quest trickles down to yet another quest (protect the camp).

All of this has to do with playing online.

Basically, I would suggest not playing online until you've finished a particular difficulty level first. Then only play in that completed difficulty level when online.

Otherwise, host your own game and make sure people play WITH you. No opening doors you don't have the key to (but they might) without getting the key first, etc.

In other words, don't cut corners and you wont get burned.
