Xiao the Collosal Peng - How to beat?

So I'm crusing down the Great Wall in Epic with my level 42 Elementalist and run into Mr. Xiao. After the 3rd death, i'm wondering what is this dude attacking with? What resistances do i need to not die withing 3 seconds? Any Help?

with volcanic orb or lightning you can attack him from the part of the wall thats south of him and above him.

stand on the steps and he can't use his skills on you as they pass through the stairs and miss.
