Is this truly an expansion, or is this a stand-alone, as well?
In other words, is the original TQ required for game play?

Don't feel down.
I commend you for having the insight of creating a "spectate other player" feature in IT (allowing us to view their stats and equipment).
I don't know if you realised it before you added the feature, but this feature makes it possible for players to detect hackers.
With this, it kinda decreases the demand for closed MP, as it is primarily to weed out hackers. And with the spectate-feature, we can weed out hackers ourselves!
So everytime you join a game in TQ:IT, please make sure to take a look at the equipment and stats of other players, to see if they are potential hackers.
Yay for IL!

Thanks, Batman. I've been looking for the answer, perhaps not hard enough. But, thanks, anyways.

Aside from closed server my biggest request would be some more optimization or ability to fine tune the graphics settings more. I see there are supposed to be some additional graphics settings in the expan which is nice.
well least now u know single player games arnt all that big with people these days, if you had the proper funds and where able to implement a multiplayer of some sort into tq before it was released, youd have no problems with funds in my eyes, cause the game is a good game all round its just the lack of proper multiplayer thats keeping the big rpg players away.
i myself prefer multiplayer, but i still got tq and tq it cause they look awesome and the game play is good, and it gives me a brake away from all my multiplayer games, ive also tried countless times to get all my mates to buy it lol, ut mates wow mates wc3 mates and my irl mates but none will cause of the lack of multiplayer.
Id fucken love it if closed servers where on this or put on some time in the future, but i fear thats a dream that will never happen, i just hope u guys get abit of royalties from it and supreme commander, and hope that your next big rpg will have closed servers.
SupCom wasn't Iron Lore.
But yeah, when you're a new company making a (then) new game it's hard to finagle the cash to throw up a bunch of server equipment for closed multiplayer when the world at the time might not have been ready for Titan Quest.
Thankfully, the world was more than ready for Titan Quest, and it's only THQ's loss that they didn't include closed multiplayer in Titan Quest, so this'll be a good lesson for them.
THQ in this context are NOT the bad guy, you have to understand something about the industry and economics to see things from their point of view, they've actually done a lot to encourage Iron Lore, despite this one big oversight on their part.
thougth ironlore was part of thq aswell?, cause thq are a part of sup commander arnt they
