You could try turning the graphics down, but the game is known to be finikey about running on laptops. Also try installing the Bugfix Fanpatch (Fanpatch Projects section of the form), that may help....

I have to ask if you have the Bugfix Fanpatch installed, because if you don't those points in Triumph are wasted. It doesn't work properly without the patch.
