Well if you want I have some French learning pdfs which could help you, if you so desire. I always wanted to learn French because I seem to be understanding it more even though my only experience with it are some movies and the French parts in War and Peace. But I chose German since I dream of moving to Germany one day...If you want that stuff, I could send them to you since they are only some megas big. And I also have pdf's for Italian, Spanish and German. Don't ask.
  2. Nein, and I had to put that through the translator because I wasn't sure which way around the e and i went! We're in the French speaking part, but that's not much better than the German I'm sorry to say. I'm planning to do some work on improving it though because now we've bought a house, there's no friendly rental agency to arrange for workmen when things break down or maintenance checks need to be done. I'm better at reading French and understanding that than I am on the speaking side. I'd really like someone to come up with a simplified version, where all the feminine side of things was dropped so I just had to cope with the masculine. I can never keep my "le" and "la" etc straight.

  4. Yes, we did get a bit more snow yesterday. Not as much as we had the other week when we got about a foot of snow, but it was enough to cover the pavements. Still, it's all melted off this morning so not looking like it's going to be a white Christmas in this part of the world. Forecast is for rain, rain and more rain.

On the other side of the globe it's 21 December and nothing. Where are the bangs and the aliens? Oh well, there is still time. You guys have snow in Switzerland atm? We also had here but most of it melted and now we have a plumb sky and coldness.

Thanks very much for your help in my thread, Medea.

Also, it's so good to see another adult playing. I'm 43 and I find that many of the younger players think it's strange for an adult to play RPGs lol

By the way, your birthday is the same as my dad's - although he's much older of course!

No problem, Medea. Just thought I'd offer. I, too, prefer to find all my loot, so I completely understand.
  10. Thanks for the offer, defboy99, but I'd prefer to buy/find it for myself if I can. That's part of the fun of the game for me, seeing what comes up that I haven't seen before like the Defender's necklace. Also I'm not sure my Wanderer's going to get far enough to wear it before he drives me mad with pets running around all over the place. He's only lvl 20 and just reached Lower Nile so still has a long way to go before he could equip it.
